Sonia and Aaron tied the knot in an intimate rooftop ceremony at their home in Manhattan during the summer of 2020. While living together in the pandemic, these two couldn’t wait any longer – they just had to say their vows! However, they decided to celebrate their union a year later with a wonderful Greenpoint Loft wedding in the heart of Brooklyn.

When we walked into the space, this raw space wedding venue in Brooklyn had been transformed into a fairytale. With florals by Rosehip Floral and planning by Dreammakers NY, these two incredible NYC wedding vendors made it a dream space. As a wedding photo and video team in Brooklyn, this space is an absolute favorite.

A New York Wedding Photographer’s Dream Event Space

Mixing exposed brick and rustic wood with a jaw-dropping skyline venue, you get the best of Brooklyn wedding photos when it comes to this venue. There’s a good mix of natural light and warm, beautiful artificial light. We were able to have a lot of fun with additive lighting. As wedding photographers in New York, working in darker venues like this is always a fun time to play with light.

Gorgeous Greenpoint Loft Wedding in Brooklyn

This Pre-WWII rope factory has been transformed into one of the most stunning wedding venues in New York City. Holding up to 185 guests, you can host a grand party for your loved ones, or an intimate gathering with your closest family and friends. Although there are getting ready areas on-site, Sonia got ready in her apartment surrounded by her favorite humans.

Where to Take Wedding Photos at Greenpoint Loft

When these two arrived for their first look, Aaron awaited her in the loft area upstairs. Sonia came in from the outside patio, sneaking up on him for a sweet surprise. These two were so filled with joy on their second wedding day – a partner so nice they married them twice! This area is perfect for Brooklyn wedding pictures that feature rustic and industrial vibes.

Greenpoint Loft weddings have the beautiful addition of the skyline as a backdrop. On their outdoor patio, you can get a lovely view of the city. Commonly used for cocktail hour, this BK Venues space has the golden hour view that Brooklyn wedding photography dreams are made of.

We love the vibe of this rustic New York City wedding venue. It’s a completely different vibe that mixes industrial with rustic barn vibes. Sometimes it can feel like you’re far out of New York City, but you look out the window and see the stunning skyline. It’s truly an NYC wedding photographer’s dream venue.

Tie the Knot at Greenpoint Loft

Sonia and Aaron were married under some gorgeous greenery in the main room of Greenpoint Loft. This space is amazing with a larger guest count, and can feel cozy with a smaller one as well. With the sun setting out the windows behind them, this romantic setting was the perfect place to share their vows with loved ones.

Cocktail Hour in the Upper Loft

At Greenpoint loft, there is a main room and an upper loft area. The upper loft has the outdoor space plus a great indoor one that overlooks the main room. After the ceremony, the space downstairs was flipped while guests enjoyed cocktail hour upstairs. It was a great way to keep the guests from seeing the WIP space as the reception setup took place.

Taking Photos on the Roof at Greenpoint Loft

We loved that guests were taking photos with the NYC skyline as the backdrop. This outdoor space had a gorgeous golden sunset for this summer wedding in Brooklyn. It’s the stuff dreamy wedding photos are made of! Since these two did a first look, they were able to enjoy cocktail hour with their family and friends.

This wedding venue in Brooklyn gets quite dark given the rustic wooden vibes. Sonia & Aaron had beautiful chandeliers added to the space by ULS Lighting. We also used some off-camera flashes for more drama in their wedding photos. Plus, having additive lighting can give couples crisp, clear wedding photography in NYC.

End of the Night Photos on the NYC Skyline

There’s nothing more beautiful than the Manhattan skyline at night. We love the way it sparkles and adds to your images. At the end of the night, Sonia and Aaron stepped outside with us for a few additional photos. They must have been absolutely exhausted from all the fun, but they were just so happy to finally have the Brooklyn wedding of their dreams.

Amazing Team of Brooklyn Wedding Vendors

This wedding couldn’t have been possible without the amazing team of vendors behind it. With Greenpoint Loft as the wedding venue, Rosehip Social decorated the space beautifully with greenery and florals. The live band was EBE, with Big Dawg Party Rentals doing rentals and ULS doing lighting. Dream Makers NY were the amazing planners for the day. Eventful did the catering, while Empire Cakes did the dessert. Plus, you can’t forget Brooklyn Wine Exchange and Carousel for alcohol. Finally, we were the NYC wedding photo and video team covering Sonia and Aaron’s amazing celebration.
