We were honored to photograph Emma and Claire’s intimate Blooming Hill Farm wedding this September. As a Beacon-based photography team, we get to know our couples well before their wedding day arrives. Emma and Claire’s Engagement Sessions Through the Years

We have been photographing Emma and Claire for years now, and each session has felt like catching up with old friends. Our first shoot together was a sweet engagement session near the Beacon roundhouse. After that, we photographed a romantic spring session at a Hudson Valley apple orchard. We returned to the orchard theme for a fall apple picking session at Fishkill Farms. Planning a Micro Wedding With Blooming Hill Farm’s Elopement Package

This wedding was intentionally small, with just 27 guests joining Emma and Claire for the day. Small weddings like this one allow for a slower pace and more genuine connection. Every guest in attendance mattered to the couple, and that closeness was felt everywhere. Getting Ready Before an Intimate Wedding Day

The day began at Claire and Emma’s own house, where they got ready surrounded by comfort and familiarity. There is something grounding about starting a wedding day in a space that already feels like home. Laughter filled the rooms as both brides prepared for the day ahead. Portraits Across the Blooming Hill Farm Property

Blooming Hill Farm sits on roughly 100 acres in Blooming Grove, and the land offers no shortage of beautiful backdrops. We have photographed here before, and the farm never fails to deliver stunning light and texture. Rustic barns sit alongside open fields, creating a natural range of settings for portraits. Family Portraits in the Barn Space

We photographed family portraits inside the farm’s charming barn space. The wood beams and soft light inside create a warm, unfussy backdrop for these images. Families gathered easily, and the mood stayed relaxed throughout. A Queer Wedding Ceremony Beneath the Trees

Emma and Claire’s ceremony took place beneath a large tree on the property, a simple and fitting choice. Each bride began the aisle from opposite directions, walking halfway with her own father. They met in the middle, then continued down the aisle together as partners. Cocktail Hour and Dinner at This Small Wedding Venue

As LGBTQ wedding photographers, we feel privileged whenever a couple trusts us with their queer wedding. Emma and Claire’s ceremony structure reflected exactly who they are as partners. Meeting halfway and finishing the walk together said everything about their relationship. Farm to Table Dinner and Heartfelt Speeches

Guests moved into Blooming Hill Farm’s restaurant space for dinner following cocktail hour. Farm-to-table dining has always been part of what makes this venue special. Seasonal ingredients grown right on site filled the menu for the evening. A Barn Reception For Elopement Package Full of Movement

The reception shifted back to the barn for dancing once dinner wrapped up. Emma and Claire shared a first dance packed with playful, unexpected moves that had guests cheering. Their joy was contagious, and the dance floor filled quickly after that. Inside Blooming Hill Farm as a Hudson Valley Wedding Venue

Blooming Hill Farm has grown organic produce on its Blooming Grove land for more than three decades. That farming history shapes every part of a wedding held here, right down to the food on each plate. The property blends indoor and outdoor spaces, so couples can move guests through fields, barns, and covered areas throughout the day. Vendors Behind This Intimate Blooming Hill Farm Wedding

A day this beautiful always comes down to a strong group of vendors working in sync. Blooming Hill Farm provided the venue, florals, and catering, anchoring the entire celebration in one place. Hair and makeup came courtesy of Tessa Pilon, whose work helped Emma and Claire feel like themselves on their big day. A Beacon-Based Photography Team’s Favorite Day

Photographing Emma and Claire’s wedding felt like the natural next chapter in a story we have followed for years. From their first roundhouse session to this September celebration, their relationship has only grown more certain. Their small wedding at Blooming Hill Farm captured everything we love about intimate celebrations done well. We feel lucky to call ourselves their photographers, and even luckier to call them friends.
