Between the two of us, we bring years of experience, a knack for making even the most camera-shy people feel at ease, and enough goofy humor to get real smiles out of your kids (and you). We're a mix of Canadian and Southern charm, which basically means you're getting maximum friendliness in one photography team.
We're here to capture your family's joy in images you'll want to look at over and over again. The kind that end up framed on the wall, stuck to the fridge, maybe even printed in an album your kids will fight over someday. Or posted to the 'gram. We're not picky.
As Beacon-based photographers, we know and love the Hudson Valley. From the riverfront parks in Cold Spring to the historic streets of Newburgh to the scenic trails near Garrison, we can help you find the perfect spot for your session. Or we can come to you and capture your family right at home, wherever that may be.
What you can expect from us: we show up on time, we work quickly, and we stay out of your way while still catching all the good stuff. Need a little guidance on what to do with your hands or how to wrangle everyone into the frame? We've got you. Prefer to just let things unfold naturally? We're great at that too.
By the end of your session, we want you doing a little happy dance about choosing us. If you're not thrilled with your photos, we haven't done our job.
You DO want family photos you can look back on and pass down through generations. Photos that remind everyone just how awesome this chapter of life was. You'd LOVE to remember this time exactly as it happened, not some stiff, overly posed version of it. And you'd be pretty thrilled if those two photo nerds with the cameras felt more like friends than strangers by the end of your session.

Our little family unit in Beacon, NY
We're Megan and Kenneth, and we live in Beacon, NY with our two mini Aussiedoodles, Cordy and Phoebe. When we're not behind the camera, you can probably find us exploring our favorite Hudson Valley spots, hanging by the waterfront, or grabbing coffee at Big Mouth.
We love capturing lifetime memories, from proposals to engagements to weddings to maternity sessions to growing families. And we know that families come in all shapes and sizes. Blended families, fur babies, grandparents, chosen family, multi-generational gatherings, all of it. We're proud to be LGBTQ+ friendly photographers, and whoever your people are, we want to document them.
Our whole approach is built around making you feel comfortable. No stiff poses, no awkward directions, just gentle guidance and a relaxed vibe so your photos actually look and feel like you. Because when you're at ease, that's when we capture the real stuff.
