We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we love an intimate celebration. Grace and Gavin’s micro wedding at Urban Cowboy Lodge was exactly that. They gathered their closest family for a beautiful summer evening in the Catskills. We document intimate weddings and elopements across this region all year long.

The couple spent their whole wedding weekend at the lodge with family. Together they relaxed, watched the stars, and soaked in the cozy atmosphere. Furthermore, this kind of slow weekend suits a small wedding perfectly. By Sunday evening, everyone felt settled and ready to celebrate.

Big Indian NY sits deep in the Catskills, and the scenery here is stunning. Consequently, a celebration here feels personal and grounded in nature. As a Beacon-based photography team, we travel upstate often for events. Moreover, the summer light in these mountains is hard to beat.

We arrived early to scout the grounds before the ceremony began. Meanwhile, the couple’s family enjoyed the last quiet hours of the weekend. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we always love this calm before everything starts. Because of that head start, we felt ready for every moment ahead.

The upstate setting kept the whole day feeling unhurried and warm. Additionally, a small wedding leaves room for real connection between guests. Everyone moved at an easy pace as the summer evening approached. Therefore, the energy felt joyful rather than rushed or stressful.

The grand lawn sweeps down toward the creek in a gorgeous slope. Consequently, the landscape itself becomes part of every photograph here. The Catskills wilderness wraps around the property on every side. As a result, this event felt immersed in nature from start to finish.

The evening began with Grace stepping onto the grand lawn at the lodge. Meanwhile, Gavin stood at the bottom of the hill beside the creek. We photographed the bride coming down as he watched from the bridge. As a result, we captured a totally unique perspective on her arrival.

Family and friends gathered in a half circle around the couple. Because the group was small, the ceremony felt warm and personal. One of Gavin’s family members officiated, which made the moment even more meaningful. This intimate format is exactly why we love a micro wedding at Urban Cowboy Lodge.

After the vows, the couple held a heartfelt ring blessing ceremony. Each family member offered an individual blessing over the ring in turn. Then Grace and Gavin shared their first kiss as a married couple. Afterward, a sweet champagne toast capped off the ceremony beautifully.

Next, we moved quickly through family photos so loved ones could relax. As a result, the rest of the family headed up for cocktails. We always aim to keep portrait time efficient at an intimate event. Therefore, couples get more time to enjoy their own celebration.

Then we took the couple out for portraits around the property. We photographed them by the creek, in the trees, and in the tall grass. Because golden hour was glowing, these summer moments turned out beautifully. This is the natural, relaxed work we love as a Beacon-based photography team.

Urban Cowboy Catskills spreads across 200 private acres of fields and forest. In addition, it offers creekside views, trails, and many gathering spaces. The Parlor Bar makes a wonderful spot for cocktail hours and gatherings. Meanwhile, the Lodge hosts an intimate reception for up to 100 guests.

After portraits, the couple joined their family up at the lodge for dinner. There the group enjoyed a delicious menu paired with thoughtfully chosen wine. A few loved ones stood to share toasts throughout the meal. Then Grace and Gavin thanked everyone warmly for being there.

This venue truly shines for weekend-long celebrations and a small wedding. Notably, it offers 42 guest rooms that sleep up to 104 overnight guests. Additionally, amenities include a pool, sauna, tennis courts, and a bowling alley. As a result, families can gather, relax, and stay close for days.

No two weddings here ever look quite the same to us. Instead, the team collaborates closely to match each couple’s style and traditions. Because of that care, every event feels meaningful and truly personal. We love photographing a celebration shaped so fully around the people in it.
Honestly, the whole evening felt like a gathering of people who love each other. We feel genuinely lucky to take part in events like this one. As micro wedding photographers, we cherish intimate weddings and elopements upstate. Above all, the Catskills and the Hudson Valley bring out our favorite work.

The summer setting gave the entire day a glowing, easy warmth. Furthermore, the mountain backdrop turned simple moments into lasting memories. Grace and Gavin’s micro wedding at Urban Cowboy Lodge captured all of it. We are grateful they trusted us to document such a special evening.
Either way works for us! We’ll be in touch in no time at all to book in a chat with you and, yes, we’re sure Cordy and Phoebe will pop up and say hi.
