We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
Alicia and Keith booked us for their Little Stony Point engagement session on a stunning late spring evening. We were beyond excited to photograph this vibrant and fun couple at one of our favorite Cold Spring locations. As Beacon wedding photographers, we truly love documenting love stories along this stretch of the Hudson River. Ultimately, this session became one of the most memorable shoots we have had the pleasure of experiencing.

Little Stony Point Park sits right along the Hudson River just outside of Cold Spring, New York. The park offers dramatic rocky overlooks, winding wooded trails, and a gorgeous pebble beach. As a result, Hudson Valley engagement photography thrives in a setting this naturally rich and varied. The mix of water, rock, and mountain views creates truly stunning engagement pictures every single time.

We began this Little Stony Point engagement session at the overlook as golden hour light warmed the sky. Alicia wore a beautiful flowy blue and white floral dress that caught the breeze in the most striking way. Keith complemented her in a navy blue shirt, grey pants, and blue leather sneakers. Together, their outfits were absolutely perfect for the vibrant late spring landscape of Little Stony Point Park.

From the overlook, we followed the winding trails deeper into the park toward the water. The filtered light through the trees gave us so many beautiful chances for candid engagement photos along the trail. Hudson Valley engagement photography is all about letting the natural landscape become a living part of each couple’s story. Therefore, a place like Little Stony Point Park will always feel like a true privilege to photograph in.

This Little Stony Point engagement session had incredible, contagious energy right from the very start. Alicia and Keith were playful, adventurous, and completely open to every pose and idea we brought forward. We guided them through dips, lifts, spins, and many genuine personal moments between just the two of them. Moreover, their natural chemistry made every single frame feel completely effortless and full of joy.

As Beacon wedding photographers, we always encourage our couples to simply be themselves throughout their sessions. Indeed, Alicia and Keith did exactly that, and their laughter filled every corner of Little Stony Point Park. The golden hour light grew warmer and richer as we made our way gradually toward the beach. Their trail engagement pictures capture so much of what we love about Hudson Valley engagement photography.

The beach at Little Stony Point Park is truly one of the most magical spots in the Hudson Valley. Furthermore, it is our absolute favorite place for a Little Stony Point engagement session at sunset. According to Uncovering New York, this is one of the most scenic spots along the Hudson River. As the sun set behind Storm King Mountain, the sky filled with warm layers of pink and orange.

Alicia and Keith did not hesitate at all when we suggested wading into the water for their engagement photos. They splashed right in, laughing freely as the golden hour light danced across the river around them. Cold Spring truly offers some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the Hudson Valley for engagement pictures. However, there is nothing quite like that warm, glowing riverside light near sunset in late spring.

We always say this Little Stony Point engagement spot is most alive near the end of the day. Each passing minute near the water brought a new color and a fresh chance to capture something truly special. Hudson Valley engagement photography simply comes alive when the right light, location, and couple all come together. Alicia and Keith also gave us every ingredient we needed to create images they will always treasure.

After their session, Alicia and Keith headed to Cold Spring Depot for dinner in Cold Spring. It is a favorite stop of theirs after hiking in the Breakneck Ridge area. It was also the perfect way to close out such a beautiful evening along the Hudson. We always love when a session ends with couples doing exactly what they enjoy most together.

One important tip we always share: plan your Little Stony Point engagement session on a weekday if possible. This park is incredibly popular during the warmer months, especially on spring and summer weekends with heavy trail traffic. A weekday visit means fewer crowds and a far more intimate, peaceful atmosphere for your engagement photos. In fact, you will be so glad when you have that gorgeous beach nearly all to yourselves.

As Beacon wedding photographers, we are always deeply honored to document love in places as stunning as this. Additionally, Little Stony Point Park is one of our most recommended spots for engagement pictures in the Hudson Valley.
