We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
As Hudson Valley proposal photographers, we are always honored to document life’s most intimate moments. This spring Little Stony Point proposal in the Hudson Highlands took our breath away. We arrived early to the overlook to get into position before Nate and Dana arrived. Above all, the natural beauty of the Hudson Highlands made this session truly unforgettable.
Little Stony Point sits along the Hudson River in the scenic Hudson Highlands near Cold Spring. It offers sweeping panoramic views of the river and the surrounding mountain landscape. Therefore, it is one of our absolute favorite spots for upstate engagement and proposal sessions. The overlook provides a dramatic yet intimate backdrop that is perfectly suited for milestone moments.
Nate was smart about timing and planned this spring Little Stony Point proposal for a Friday morning. He chose to arrive before 9 AM, which was an excellent decision for this location. Consequently, Little Stony Point is extremely popular on weekends due to the many hiking trails nearby. As Beacon proposal photographers, we always recommend early weekday mornings for undisturbed, intimate sessions.
Nate messaged us as he and Dana began making their way up the trail toward the overlook. We quietly moved into position and prepared to document everything as it unfolded. Then we waited, watching the Hudson River below as the morning light transformed this upstate engagement setting. Working as discreet Hudson Valley proposal photographers is one of our greatest responsibilities and joys.
Nate and Dana arrived at the overlook, and Nate immediately began speaking from the heart. He shared sweet, meaningful words with Dana before slowly getting down on one knee. Without hesitation, she said yes, and we captured every tear, smile, and embrace in real time. This spring Little Stony Point proposal was filled with genuine, unscripted emotion from start to finish.
The morning light during this upstate engagement session near Cold Spring was simply extraordinary. Low clouds moved through the Hudson Highlands and soft sunlight filtered through the mountains beautifully. Moreover, the Hudson River was completely still without any wind, which created a mirror-like reflection below the overlook. The calm air also kept Dana’s hair perfectly in place throughout the entire session.
Following this spring Little Stony Point proposal, we moved around the overlook to capture a wide variety of portraits. We truly love photographing couples immediately after a proposal because the emotion is completely raw and natural. In fact, every couple we photograph in this moment is absolutely glowing with happiness and relief. Nate and Dana were no exception, and their connection was visible in every single frame.
After the session wrapped, Nate and Dana spent the rest of the morning exploring the Hudson Highlands trails together. The area near Cold Spring offers some of the most stunning hiking in all of New York. Furthermore, the spring greenery was just beginning to emerge and made the landscape feel fresh and alive. As Hudson Valley proposal photographers, we always love when couples take time to soak in the surroundings.
After their spring Little Stony Point proposal, the couple headed into Beacon to begin their engagement weekend. Beacon is one of the most charming small cities in the Hudson Valley and a perfect romantic getaway. As Beacon proposal photographers, we always recommend staying in Beacon for a night or two after a proposal. The city is vibrant, walkable, and full of incredible places to eat, explore, and celebrate.
Beacon has so much to offer couples who are newly engaged and looking to celebrate. The arts, dining, and natural beauty of the city make it an ideal upstate engagement weekend destination. In addition, there are spots for every kind of couple, whether you love art, food, or the outdoors. Specifically, we have a few favorite places we always recommend to our newly engaged clients.

Little Stony Point is undeniably one of the best proposal locations in the entire Hudson Valley. The combination of river views, mountain scenery, and open sky creates a truly cinematic setting for photos. Additionally, a spring Little Stony Point proposal offers layers of color and texture that make every image feel alive. We are proud to serve as Beacon proposal photographers and Hudson Valley proposal photographers in this incredible region.

We want to give a special shoutout to a few wonderful spots that made their Beacon weekend extra memorable. Dia:Beacon is a world-class contemporary art museum that is a must-see for every visitor to the area. The Roundhouse is a stunning waterfall-side hotel and restaurant that is perfect for a celebratory dinner or overnight stay. The Wild is a beloved Beacon staple known for its exceptional food and welcoming atmosphere.
Either way works for us! We’ll be in touch in no time at all to book in a chat with you and, yes, we’re sure Cordy and Phoebe will pop up and say hi.
