We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
We had the absolute best time planning an engagement photo session at Stonecrop Gardens for Tiffany and Hunter. As Beacon wedding photographers, we always look forward to sessions on these particular grounds. The property offers some of the prettiest, most romantic scenery found anywhere in the Hudson Valley. Every single visit here reminds us why we genuinely love doing this work.

Hudson Valley engagement photography feels especially magical whenever the setting is this beautiful. Stonecrop Gardens gives couples a peaceful, romantic backdrop for their engagement photos. The grounds stay immaculate year round, and every corner feels intentionally, thoughtfully designed by dedicated gardeners. We continue finding fresh, unexpected details to admire here on every single visit we make.
If you are hoping to plan an engagement photo session at Stonecrop Gardens, timing definitely matters. The property only opens for photography on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays each week. Standard hours run from 10 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon. You will also need to secure a photography permit before your scheduled visit.

Stonecrop Gardens sits just a short, scenic drive from charming Cold Spring. Many of our couples enjoy grabbing coffee together before their photo shoot officially begins. It gives everyone a relaxed, easy way to settle in before portraits start. Cold Spring truly adds a lovely, unhurried start to any session day.
Our favorite time for an engagement photo session at Stonecrop Gardens is late afternoon. That timing lets us take full advantage of soft, flattering golden sunlight. For Tiffany and Hunter, the bright summer sun gave us gorgeous, warm tones later on. A few passing clouds also rolled through, adding lovely intervals of diffused light.
Tiffany and Hunter made this entire photo shoot feel completely effortless from start to finish. They are true naturals in front of the camera and clearly comfortable together. The two of them kept each other laughing during nearly every single portrait. Their genuine, easy connection made our job that afternoon wonderfully simple.

We captured some absolutely gorgeous engagement photos inside the striking, sunlit Conservatory. The glass panels and lush greenery create a dreamy, almost otherworldly atmosphere for portraits. We also photographed Tiffany and Hunter just outside the elegant, historic Main House. That grand architecture adds a timeless, classic feel to every single frame.

The Flower Garden gave us some of our favorite engagement photos from the entire day. Blooms in every direction created a soft, colorful backdrop behind the happy couple. Tiffany and Hunter wandered slowly through the rows while holding hands together. Genuine, playful moments like these are exactly what we love capturing most.

No engagement session at Stonecrop Gardens ever feels complete without visiting these two spots. The Wisteria Pavilion offers a romantic, sheltered setting full of natural texture. Rock Ledge provides sweeping valley views and a slightly more dramatic backdrop. Both locations gave Tiffany and Hunter completely different, equally stunning sets of portraits.
Animal lovers will absolutely adore the horse barn tucked quietly along the property. Visitors can sometimes spot the resident horses grazing peacefully nearby during a session. A friendly resident cat often roams the grounds and greets curious, delighted guests. We also met Fanshawe, a sweet pup who charmed absolutely everyone that day.

Every engagement photo session at Stonecrop Gardens reminds us why we adore this particular venue. The meticulously tended grounds offer endless variety for every kind of portrait. Every winding path leads toward another gorgeous, photo ready view. We genuinely never tire of exploring this beautiful property with our couples.

We always spend time chatting with couples before every photo shoot begins. Getting to know Tiffany and Hunter made the entire afternoon feel relaxed and easy. They shared sweet stories about their relationship while we walked the grounds together. Moments like these help us capture portraits that feel authentic and true.

We often suggest soft, flowy fabrics for an engagement session set among these gardens. Colors that complement the greenery tend to photograph beautifully throughout the property. Tiffany chose a flowing dress that moved gorgeously in the afternoon breeze. Small styling choices like these truly elevate every finished gallery of photos.
Every finished gallery reflects the genuine personality and connection of each couple we photograph. We carefully select a wide variety of images from every single angle we explored. Couples typically receive a thoughtful mix of candid moments alongside classic, timeless posed portraits. Tiffany and Hunter will treasure this beautiful gallery for many years to come.
If you are dreaming of your own engagement session here, we would truly love to help you plan it.
