When getting married in New York, you may not always have the opportunity to take some classic New York wedding photos. However, when you decide to elope, you give yourself the flexibility to focus on wedding photography. Some couples choose to use their elopement day to capture a photo shoot of their love story.
As Brooklyn elopement photographers, we’ve seen tons of creative wedding celebrations in the city. We’ve put together the best spots for elopement photography in NYC. Let’s go through some of the most beautiful spots to tie the knot – and get amazing photos while you’re at it!
There are plenty of locations in New York City for iconic NYC elopement photos. The most important thing to consider is which places are unique to your relationship. For example, if you avoid Times Square like the plague, it may not be the best spot for Elopement photos in New York.
On the other hand, if you got engaged by the Brooklyn Bridge, you can relive those happy memories at that spot. Let’s take a look at some of the most iconic elopement photo locations in New York City. Choosing your adventure for elopements in New York is a ton of fun – choose a single location, or map it out!
Taking wedding photos in Dumbo is so much fun for our couples. We love capturing the New York City skyline, the bridges, and beautiful cobblestone streets all in one location. When you come to Dumbo for elopement photos, you’re in for a treat. The number of different photo locations all tucked into one area is perfect for a two-hour wedding photo shoot all on its own.
When we take photos on the Brooklyn Bridge, we typically only shoot at sunrise. This allows us to capture the bridge that it’s emptiest. There are no tourists and very few bikes riding around on the bridge. We love to shoot wedding photos on the Brooklyn Bridge even as early as seven in the morning.
When you take NYC elopement photos, you have the flexibility to wake up that early and get there for the sunrise. Since there isn’t typically a wedding party getting care and makeup done with you, you can book an artist for a super early time slot they get out to the bridge for the early sunrise.
