Marisa and Trey tied the knot on a beautiful winter day at their Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding. We were so excited to capture the love between this couple – in fact, they had a “love” themed wedding! As the new Mr. and Mrs. Love, these two embraced the gorgeous venue on this chilly day with the stunning palm rooms at the garden.
The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is one of the most well known in New York City. If you are looking for an outdoor and indoor wedding venue in NYC, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden might be perfect for you. Not only can your wedding be outside but it can also feature beautiful plants and gardens that bring life to your personal style. The Palm House is one of the most popular venues because of the sheer beauty it has to offer for your special day.
From our time working in the Palm House, we can say that it is not only beautiful all year round but especially for wedding photos. There are so many different spots within the room that offer great backdrops for just about any personal style. The high glass ceilings are perfect to create elegant themed photos while floral or botanical decorations on tables or the floor allow for a pretty winter wedding. The tall trees make great backdrops as well, making this the perfect indoor and outdoor venue!
As Brooklyn wedding photographers, we love the versatility of this wedding venue. It’s a great location for NYC weddings and is perfect for second shooting. There is so much to capture from the palm house, including the beauty of the plants inside and outside. During the daytime, this venue lets a ton of light in. At night, the glass walls of the venue glimmer with the lights.
The Palm House is an ideal place to host your wedding because it has the space you need and offers amazing views. It can accommodate 125-250 guests comfortably, and the newly renovated interior sits in the venue that is over 100 years old. Ceremonies can take place outdoors or indoors depending on the season. There is a massive amount of space outside to take wedding photos from an open garden, beautiful plants and greenery.
We were so impressed with the team at Patina Events who made this day incredible. The catering team was fantastic! They provided great service and amazing food. The events of the evening were kept on time for this gorgeous Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding for Marisa and Trey.
Beyond the fantastic event staff, Marisa and Trey had a great team behind them. Sacha Jones Ceremonies delivered a touching Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding ceremony. Anadina at Slick Little Bride made sure that everything went off without a hitch. Rachel Cho Flowers designed some incredible florals for the couple’s event design. The band, Eturnity Star, kept the dance floor going all night long. Hair was from Boho Hair Salon, while makeup was done by Predame Beauty.
These two got ready at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn prior to their BBG celebration. This gorgeous new hotel in the downtown area was the perfect space for each half of the couple to spend time with loved ones. It’s a short distance away from the Palm House, making it a super easy trip for couples and guests. The Ace Hotel Brooklyn is a great place to get a room block for the big day.
Once the couple were ready, they separately headed over to the venue. For a Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding, how could you not use the incredible space for a first look? Taking portraits at this unique NYC wedding venue was a fantastic experience. Marisa and Trey’s first look took place in one of the warm indoor Palm House rooms.
After the couple’s portraits, we headed into the main ceremony space. This was the perfect spot to take family photos because it was spacious and indoors. The bright windows let a ton of light in and the fresh plants were a nice touch. The large glass ceiling provided a great backdrop for a stunning Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding ceremony.
These two have a stunning love story that goes back years. From early on, Marisa describes their relationship as easy and organic. She felt like she could always be herself. Trey’s feelings were totally solidifed when they spent a ton of time together during lockdown, and became a comfort and support to each other. When they got engaged, Trey threw a surprise party with her family the day after their proposal… which was her birthday!
Marisa and Trey’s Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding ceremony was perfect. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, this intimate moment was all about them. Sacha Jones Ceremonies made sure to deliver a touching and heartfelt statement. After the ultra personal vows were said, these two went for their first kiss and got the party started.
Patina Events catered this incredible cocktail hour, held near the palm rooms. The venue was nice and warm for this Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding, which allowed the guests to explore the plants in little clusters. This gorgeous space was the perfect spot for a winter cocktail hour.
When it was time for dinner, everyone headed into the massive ballroom. Patina Events did an incredible job with the spaces and how they were used to accommodate the group. Dinner took place under the gorgeous glass ceiling of the Palm House.
Eturnity Star played for this incredible wedding venue. They had everyone up and dancing all night long. The band filled the dance floor with their funky grooves and fun dance music. This group made sure that the party never ended.
The night got even better after dinner, when everyone got back out on the floor. The bride and groom took some fun couple shots with their NYC wedding photo and video team. Everyone was in great spirits and ready to dance the night away. Brooklyn Botanic Garden weddings are always a party, and this one was no different.
Marisa and Trey’s big day was captured by top Brooklyn wedding photographers Megan and Kenneth. We absolutely loved this big day from start to finish, with lively moments filling the day. It was really incredible to be part of this beautiful Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding.
