This intimate MyMoon wedding day was a spectacular occasion. We were so lucky to capture Casey and Jonathan’s memories at this Brooklyn wedding venue. This Williamsburg event space made for the perfect winter wedding, with an enclosed outdoor space for wedding ceremony and reception.
We’ve photographed winter weddings at MyMoon before, and every time we are so impressed with this venue. The staff is so friendly and sweet, making sure to pay close attention to the needs of the couple. They also ensure that everything runs smoothly and on-time. Plus, can we talk about their incredible menu? My goodness, they’ve got it all going on for a perfect winter wedding in New York City.
Casey and Jonathan started their intimate wedding day in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Although they got ready in the same apartment, they made sure not to get ready within each other’s sights. They took separate rides to the Dumbo waterfront, with Jonathan arriving first. Kenneth set him up for the first look, while Casey got out of the limo and walked with Megan to the waterfront.
With Jonathan’s back turned, Casey approached him for their Brooklyn Bridge Park first look photos. I reminded Casey that a first look doesn’t always have to be a tap on the shoulder… it can be as personal as you want it to be! She took that to heart and gave Jonathan a little squeeze to surprise him.
We took snowy wedding portraits in Brooklyn Bridge Park against the New York City skyline. A snowstorm hit the city a few days prior, leaving some remaining for gorgeous snowy NYC elopement photos. The couple walked over to Washington Street for some photos with the iconic Manhattan Bridge view in the background.
Making our way over to Pebble Beach, it started to snow. Just a tiny bit of snow, but it looked so magical in Casey’s bridal hairdo. The weather forecast had been jumping around for Brooklyn NY, teasing us with both possibilities of rain and snow. We love either occasion for wedding photos, so were waiting in anticipation to see if the weather would change.
We love that these two chose to do first look and bridal portraits in Dumbo. Having a first look can allow you to do your wedding photos in locations that may not otherwise be available. Since Williamsburg is a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from Dumbo, starting the day here allowed them to have the scenic NYC wedding photos of their dreams.
Finally, these two hopped in their limo and made their way over to MyMoon for the wedding celebration to begin. We started off with family photos, which was an opportunity to get the majority of the staged photography out of the way. After the wedding, they took photos with guests who arrived later, but it was a much less involved process – leaving more time for fun!
Casey and Jonathan then retreated into the bridal suite for some quiet time before the ceremony. As guests arrived, MyMoon set up the aisle runner in their enclosed outdoor ceremony space. This space was perfect for an enclosed outdoor winter wedding in NYC. The couple were able to adequately air out the space with doors and windows, all while having the warmth of the enclosure.
We love this unique MyMoon wedding ceremony space as it’s one of the things that makes one of the most gorgeous wedding venues in Brooklyn. With both indoor and outdoor event spaces to choose from, you have so many options at MyMoon for an industrial chic celebration. This venue is a Brooklyn wedding photographer’s dream: there are so many locations for incredible shots.
The chuppah was held up by close family members, making for a sweet and intimate moment in the wedding ceremony. Casey and Jonathan’s vows were full of laughs and adorable reactions from each half of the couple. We loved how fun and animated these two were. They were so thrilled to be marrying each other!
Casey and Jonathan uniquely held both their ceremony and reception in the outdoor enclosure. Many couples choose to do the ceremony in this Brooklyn wedding venue’s enclosed outdoor space, and then hold the reception in the restaurant area. Their reception, however, was more intimate than most – only hosting a handful of family members after the ceremony.
After the wedding ceremony at MyMoon, they took a few more guest in the beautiful outdoor space before parting with the majority of their guests. These two then came inside for an intimate wedding reception in this Williamsburg wedding venue’s glass enclosure. A super sweet way to end the big day, we parted with the couple as they began their meal.
If you’re getting married in NYC, MyMoon is an incredible choice of wedding venue. As New York wedding photography professionals based in Brooklyn, we adore this spot for intimate weddings. Whether you’re hosting a summer or winter wedding, this event space is a fantastic spot for the occasion.
This venue is also a great spot for a rehearsal dinner! Seriously, their menu is so good. If you’re looking for an all-inclusive wedding venue package in New York City, this is the spot for you. Their team has designed a low-stress wedding venue so all you need to worry about is a Brooklyn wedding photographer, and a few other details – the venue takes care of the rest.
