Are you planning a Ravel Hotel wedding in New York? This colorful Long Island City wedding will inspire you. Antoinette and Marlon got married at The Ravel Hotel, a hotel in New York with stunning Manhattan skyline views. It was such a fun fall wedding, and even the weather played ball! For a late October wedding, it truly felt like a warm spring day.
The Ravel Hotel is perfect for couples who want a chilled out wedding and is one of the most gorgeous places to get married in New York. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor space – and there are loads of unique spots that are perfect for photos.
When wedding planning, a first look can change the flow of your whole day. The best part about doing a first look: it doesn’t take away from the moment you first see each other during the ceremony. As you see your partner walk up the aisle for the first time, the emotional moment doesn’t change at all – you’re still about to marry the love of your life.
The bride and groom chose to do a first look, family photos and wedding party photos before the wedding. This schedule allowed for them to go straight into party mode when their ceremony ended, which is exactly what happened. We brought out the bubble guns, creating a no-mess wedding bubble exit. From there, it was time to get the party started.
The ceremony was a stunning service at The Ravel Hotel rooftop. During the ceremony, there was a beautiful reading as the sunset over the New York skyline. It was a quintessential New York City moment.
They decorated the area with fall florals, which we loved. The reception was in a beautiful room at The Ravel Hotel – we love this venue because the glowing New York City skyline makes for a perfect backdrop. Weddings at The Ravel Hotel are unique because the space is jaw-dropping.
One of the best parts of wedding photography at a venue like this is that you can have anything, from fine art photos to a more documentary style. The venue is both classy and casual, allowing for versatility in wedding photo and video coverage.
The couple started the party with cocktails in the evening and a dance-filled reception all night long. They had steak and fish options for dinner, and the first dance was a moment to remember. Their playlist consisted of tons of Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, and all the boy-band goodness you can get. They finished off the evening with Marlon serenading Antoinette to Justin Bieber’s ‘One Less Lonely Girl,’ an unexpected twist that everyone loved.
Marlon’s dapper suit went well with Antoinette’s traditional, flowing white gown. Antoinette had an up-do with a gorgeous pearl hair piece. The bride had a stunning floor-length veil to match her flawless dress.
As New York wedding photographers, we’ve got some advice for getting married at this LIC venue. If you’re planning a wedding where you need both indoor and outdoor space, consider The Ravel Hotel New York. With different options to fit your wedding vibe, this versatile New York wedding venue is a fantastic option for weddings big and small. We loved shooting wedding photos on the hotel’s roof, featuring a divine view of the Queensboro Bridge.
One of the best parts of this Ravel Hotel wedding was that the couple was able to get ready at the hotel. Cutting out the travel time between getting ready and first look locations was a total game-changer! The couple chose to have a first look in the rooftop ceremony space, something that sped up their wedding day schedule.
If you’re looking for classic New York wedding photography, a venue like Ravel Events is the perfect spot. The view of Manhattan creates a movie-like mood for the wedding of your dreams. Both the indoor spaces and outdoor terraces offer stunning ambiance for a New York wedding.
“Megan & Kenneth were beyond amazing to work with! They really made us feel comfortable while taking photos. These two not only captured the big moments, but also the small in between moments, and we’re so glad they did because we now have these memories to always look back on. They were both extremely professional, easy to work with, and very supportive (especially during COVID times where planning a wedding is nearly impossible). We are so happy we chose them to capture our special day & absolutely loveeeee how our photos turned out! Definitely going to call them up for any future special events; thank you, Megan & Kenneth!”
