Josh and Alex hosted a cozy Emry’s Garden wedding in Troy, New York. This winter micro-wedding was one of the highlights of our season. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we were so honored to capture this chapter of their love story. We first met the bride and groom when they got engaged at Transmitter Park in Greenpoint. It was amazing to see them tie the knot surrounded by their loved ones years later.
Cozy Winter Emry’s Garden Wedding in Troy, NY
After their proposal photos in Brooklyn, these two ventured out to an entirely different continent. Once settled, these two then came back to the Albany area for their upstate wedding photography. With families based locally, these two chose this intimate event space for some fun times. Forgoing the typical larger wedding traditions, these two recited vows in front of their loved ones and then went straight into the party.
Winter Micro-Wedding in the Albany Area
When it comes to a wedding in Troy, this is a lovely space for couples who want something cozy and intimate. As a micro-wedding venue near Albany, you can easily transform the space for a winter celebration. With both indoor and outdoor areas, you have options year-round for a fun event. We love that the couple chose a spot near and dear to their love story. Small weddings like this are something we love to shoot as Beacon-based wedding photographers.
Cozy Elopement and Micro-Wedding Photography in Upstate New York
Alex got an Airbnb locally to get ready in, and it was a gorgeous brownstone in the downtown area. This was a quick walk to the venue and also made for some great photos on the street. Before their Emry’s Garden wedding, they gathered family at Little Peck’s to take some photos as well. This was a great idea while the venue was setting up, so they didn’t have to worry about photos after their vows.
Hudson Valley Wedding Photographers Capture Intimate Wedding Pictures
The Airbnb was a beautiful find as it allowed for lots of natural light during the getting ready photos. We also took some super fun photos of Alex in the tub before heading out the door. I mean, how can you pass up some intimate wedding photography in a clawfoot tub? We love that these two were so down for anything when it came to their fun wedding photos.
Capture Candid Micro-Wedding Photos from Emry’s Garden
The special day before their Emry’s Garden wedding, started with reading letters on the street. Even though it was raining, these two decided to have some outdoor photos anyways. They embraced the weather and used some clear umbrellas to get great rainy elopement photos. This Troy wedding was super fun because they just leaned in to have fun. Alex and Josh even popped some champagne on the street for some fun. As candid photographers for Albany weddings, days like this are a dream.
Troy, NY Wedding Photos with Wintery Backdrops
This couple’s family photos at Little Peck’s was a joy because of the moody atmosphere. We love that they found an indoor location to keep their family warm for the group micro-wedding photography. It was a great option as opposed to out in the cold of this upstate winter day. When it comes to wedding packages, we highly recommend you budget some time for your group shots. Even for an intimate wedding day, there are special shots you’ll want to get with family or friends.
