This amazing couple were already married during the pandemic, but wanted to take iconic Brooklyn Bridge wedding photos in NYC. We went around to different locations capturing romantic photos throughout the city. From DUMBO to Downtown Manhattan to Central Park, we had diverse spots for this couple to have romantic moments. We loved that even though they were already married, they still wanted to do New York elopement photography together.
We started the morning taking Brooklyn Bridge wedding photos. This is a beautiful time to take pictures in this neighborhood before tourists and large groups arrive. When taking DUMBO wedding photos, going at sunrise is always best. The light is soft and warm, which makes for great pictures.
As Beacon based wedding photographers, this is one of the best locations for pictures. This classic and elegant photography location in NYC is one of those rare gems. It’s versatile as you have old architecture, cobblestone streets, waterfront views, and multiple bridges to use as backdrops. You can’t go wrong with this stunning area.
These two were great sports while taking wedding photos from the Brooklyn Bridge. Because of the vehicle movement below, it’s very noisy up there. However, the beautiful arches and stunning skyline views are well worth the noise. When eloping in New York City, it’s always ideal to take photos at sunrise when there are no people in the background.
We love taking wedding photos in Brooklyn Bridge Park. As New York wedding photographers, this is one of the most iconic places to take pictures. What makes it so special? The bridge offers fantastic views of the entire city skyline. It’s also situated right along the water for an awesome opportunity for a bride and groom to enjoy some peaceful moments before starting this next chapter together. It’s not just about getting married on the bridge either. You can have your reception nearby at one of the many DUMBO wedding venues, and have your photographer capture both ceremony and reception pictures.
Imagine being surrounded by the breathtaking views of New York City. That’s just what happens when you have your wedding in DUMBO at one of the awesome venues like Smack Mellon, DUMBO Loft, or Bridgepoint. Some couples even have their wedding on the boardwalk itself, or at the beautiful Jane’s Carousel. Brooklyn Bridge Park is an excellent location with some amazing views. For the most romantic wedding venue in DUMBO you should look into the River Café. Inside or outside, this restaurant has some spectacular views of Manhattan.
After photographing in the Brooklyn Bridge Park area, we went into Manhattan for some more photos. They love the architecture of the downtown area and courthouse. Grabbing quick photos at the courthouse is a great idea for couples who elope. The NYC courthouse wedding spot at at 141 Worth Street is an iconic place to take wedding pictures in the big apple.
We used the architecture of the large buildings as backdrops. Since this was a weekday morning New York elopement photography session, we had to avoid people going to work. This area can be quite busy in the morning, and is one of the few spots in the city that is less busy on weekends. If you want clean and crisp NYC wedding photography, check out the downtown area for some jaw-dropping locations.
The next stop of the day was Central Park. We love photographing in this area because it has something for everyone. You can take some very romantic wedding photos with the timeless Bow Bridge and the unique trees and paths throughout this park. There’s also a great spot to walk on the rocks and get some epic NYC skyline views in.
At Central Park, there are tons of gorgeous locations for New York elopement photography. We recommend visiting Gapstow Bridge, The Mall, Wisteria Pergola, and Bethesda Terrace. Among other locations, these are versatile areas within walking distance from each other. You don’t have to walk too far into the park for some lovely NYC wedding photography locations.
All of the locations that we went to are awesome for couples looking for an elopement photography session. Being Hudson Valley and NYC wedding photographers, you need to have numerous locations on hand, so your couples can have some variety during their photo shoot. A New York elopement is a very intimate way to get married in the city, and Central Park and DUMBO are the perfect spots to capture those memories. If you’re looking to take Brooklyn Bridge wedding photos, let us know – we’d love to help capture your special day.
