Springtime Wisteria Pergola Elopement in Central Park

Stas and Mallory tied the knot at their beautiful Wisteria Pergola elopement in the city. Central Park’s wisteria pergola, located behind the band shell, is one of the prettiest places to have a wedding in the park. We love when couples choose to tie the knot at this beautiful and intimate micro-wedding ceremony location in New York City.

Wisteria Pergola Elopement in the Springtime in NYC

We are thrilled to share the story of Stas and Mallory, one of our favorite intimate weddings. As always, it is an absolute joy for us to share the stories of our couples. But this story in particular is special to us since we’ve been with these two since they first got engaged. Stas proposed to Mallory in Brooklyn Bridge Park the winter prior to their elopement, making for a beautiful followup to this moment.

Central Park Wedding with Intimate Guest Count

As New York wedding photographers, Wisteria Pergola elopements are definitely something memorable. Since Stas and Mallory got married in the springtime, they had blossoming flowers surrounding them. The wisteria was in full bloom in this area of Central Park.

We love shooting in Central Park since it has so much diversity. From our past weddings at the Wisteria Pergola, to getting married on the Bow Bridge, or even just running around with through the ramble among all of the foresty foliage.  We love all of Central Park’s different locations, they are like mini wedding venues in themselves.

Tie the Knot at a Beautiful Wisteria Pergola Elopement

This Wisteria Pergola elopement took place with Stas and Mallory’s closest friends. They had loved ones tune in via live stream to be able to witness the event taking place.  We always try to provide a more personal touch with our clients. We loved getting to know Mallory and Stas’ story. Since their engagement they had been trying to figure out how to have a small New York City wedding, and this was the right place.

They chose this spot since they both love Central Park, and it made for a beautiful setting for their intimate wedding. This is one of our favorite parts about photographing Wisteria Pergola elopements in the city. We get to capture weddings that are ultra personal to just the bride and groom. This time we were able to witness Mallory and Stas’ big moment which brought tears to everyone’s eyes.

Intimate Weddings in Central Park for Romantic Couples

After the ceremony, we took photos around Bethesda Terrace.  It’s such a beautiful and romantic spot for couples to elope in the city. Mallory and Stas love Central Park, since it’s full of art and history. This is why we were so pleased that they chose to get married there after their engagement last winter. With so many possible backdrops, it made for amazing NYC wedding photography.

Locations for Destination Weddings in NYC

Following the wedding, we went over to Bethesda Terrace. This area is beautiful in its own right and it’s great for couples who want a unique NYC wedding. However, Wisteria Pergola elopements are even more special since you’re getting married surrounded by flowers. This pergola should not be mistaken for the one at the Conservatory Garden – they are two different locations in Central Park.

As Brooklyn wedding photographers, it’s very important to capture iconic spots in the city. The Bethesda Terrace fountain makes for a stunning backdrop. Additionally, the arcade and its beautiful architecture creates moving wedding photography in New York City. Plus, Stas and Mallory had wedding photos taken on the grand staircase.

We also couldn’t help but use the tree canopy at Literary Walk/The Mall. This area is so special because it features in tons of TV shows and movies. When you’re walking under these arches of trees, it really feels cinematic for your NYC wedding photography. As photographers based in the city, this is one of the best spots to take pictures.
