We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
Alexis and Patrick began their wedding weekend with a ceremony at the Church of the Magdalene in Sleepy Hollow. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we were there to cover the full two days from church to reception. The intimate ceremony took place the day before their larger Tappan Hill Mansion celebration in Tarrytown. You can see more of our work on our Hudson Valley event photography page.

This Church of the Magdalene wedding had a lot of personality woven into every part of it. Family and friends filled the pews for what felt like a genuinely warm and personal summer ceremony. Patrick watched Alexis come up the aisle in a quiet moment shared with everyone they love. We always appreciate ceremonies that feel like the couple, and this one in Sleepy Hollow absolutely did.

The Church of the Magdalene is a beautiful setting for an intimate Westchester wedding ceremony. The architecture and interior give the space a classic, timeless feel that works well on camera. As a Beacon-based photography team, we love spaces where the light and setting do much of the work. A church ceremony the day before a larger reception is a format we genuinely enjoy covering.

After the ceremony, the couple made their grand exit from the church with flower petals tossed all around them. Alexis’s veil caught on the door on the way out, and she handled it with total ease. Rather than stopping to fix it, she left it off and kept moving, and it looked completely natural. We love when couples roll with the unexpected and just keep going with it.

Shortly after the exit, the summer rain came down, so we moved group photos inside the church building. The interior gave us a well-lit space to work through family and wedding party portraits without any issues. After wrapping up inside, we all headed over to Sailhouse Tarrytown for the rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we are always ready to adjust quickly when weather has other plans.

Sailhouse Tarrytown sits right on the water and is a strong spot for a rehearsal dinner in Westchester. Close family and the wedding party gathered in a private dining space inside the restaurant for the meal. A short and heartfelt speech during the rehearsal dinner set a warm tone for the rest of the evening. As a Beacon-based photography team, we covered the toasts, the candid moments, and the details throughout.

After dinner wrapped up, welcome drinks moved to the tented outdoor area at Sailhouse Tarrytown. The summer rain had been coming and going all afternoon, but the tent kept everything running smoothly without interruption. Guests mingled easily, drinks were poured, and the energy was relaxed and celebratory going into the weekend. This Church of the Magdalene wedding day was already off to a great start.

During welcome drinks, a large rainbow appeared over the water and we grabbed some fun photos with it. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we are always watching for unexpected moments like this one. The rainbow made for genuinely memorable frames that would not have happened on a clear summer afternoon. Rain on a wedding weekend sometimes turns into the best part of the entire gallery.

Covering the Church of the Magdalene wedding and the Tappan Hill Mansion reception gave us the full picture. The rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at Sailhouse Tarrytown in Tarrytown fit naturally into that narrative. When couples bring us in for the full weekend, we document the story from beginning to end. As a Beacon-based photography team, multi-day wedding coverage is honestly some of our favorite work.

A Sleepy Hollow church ceremony followed by a larger Westchester estate reception is a format that photographs really well. The two events have different energy, different guest counts, and very different visual settings throughout. Together they give us a much wider range of images across the full wedding weekend to draw from. This Church of the Magdalene wedding was a strong example of why that two-day structure works so well.

We cover weddings, rehearsal dinners, and welcome drinks events across Westchester, Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, and the wider Hudson Valley. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, multi-day events are a natural and rewarding part of how we work. The summer timing, the rainbow, and the Sailhouse Tarrytown setting came together into one cohesive set. We were genuinely glad to be there for every part of Alexis and Patrick’s two-day celebration.
