We are Megan and Kenneth, a Beacon-based Photography & Videography Team serving the Hudson Valley. As Hudson Valley and Catskills elopement photographers, we love small celebrations. Elizabeth and Andrew chose an Airbnb micro wedding in the Catskills for their day. Furthermore, they wanted only their closest family present for this special occasion.
Blending Families at a Small Airbnb Micro Wedding in Phoenicia
These two are blending their families, so the guest list stays wonderfully short. Indeed, they celebrate with just their kids and a couple of family members. As a result, the whole event feels intimate and deeply personal. We are so honored to be part of this cozy day in Phoenicia.
Why Phoenicia Works for an Intimate Catskills Wedding
Phoenicia sits in the heart of the Catskills, surrounded by mountains and quiet forest. Moreover, the area offers gorgeous natural backdrops for an intimate wedding. The Airbnb property provides plenty of spots for portraits and a ceremony. Consequently, an Airbnb micro wedding in the Catskills feels both private and scenic here. They stayed at The Breathe Inn in Lanesville, NY.
Starting With Couple Portraits at the Airbnb Micro Wedding in the Catskills
We start the day off with the couple’s personal portraits around the property. Notably, this becomes a super cute moment between Elizabeth and Andrew. First, Elizabeth gives Andrew a playful pat on the bum. Then she turns him around, and we capture the genuine laughter that follows.
Hudson Valley Documentary Photography Style Through the Airbnb Property
Our photography style leans candid, natural, and relaxed throughout the entire day. Therefore, we move with the couple as they explore this beautiful Airbnb. We take portraits through the property, using each corner of nature available. Because of this, every frame reflects who Elizabeth and Andrew truly are.
Working With Catskills Weather as Hudson Valley Wedding Photographers
The day moves between bright sunshine and slight rain showers without warning. Consequently, the lighting offers a total variety from one moment to the next. However, this gorgeous Airbnb is the perfect spot for many different photos in nature. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we adapt quickly to whatever the Catskills offers.
The Ceremony at This Airbnb Micro Wedding in the Catskills
Next, the couple holds their ceremony in the yard beside a beautiful tree. Beforehand, they had set up florals lining that tree for the occasion. Meanwhile, the daughters arranged flower petals leading toward the ceremony space. This thoughtful detail creates a beautiful path for Elizabeth to walk down.
A Beautiful Aisle Moment for This Intimate Wedding
Elizabeth walks down the aisle while her family watches with quiet joy. Then the ceremony begins, surrounded by trees and soft Catskills light. The vows are beautiful, heartfelt, and clearly meaningful to them both. We document each emotion as this small wedding unfolds in real time.
Family Photos After the Ceremony in Phoenicia
Right after the ceremony, we take family photos to document everybody present. After all, this happy day deserves images of every person who came. We make sure each child and family member appears in these portraits. Because the group is small, the photos feel personal and warm.
Dinner, Dancing, and Dessert at an Airbnb Micro Wedding in the Catskills
Once portraits wrap, everybody enjoys dinner and snacks together at the property. Afterward, the relaxed pace lets everyone settle into the evening comfortably. Then the couple shares their first dance as the celebration continues. They do this beside a fire that Andrew built in the fire pit.
A Surprise First Dance Song by the Fire
The first dance holds a special surprise that none of us expect. Specifically, Andrew had recorded himself singing a song just for Elizabeth. As the music plays, her reaction becomes a genuinely emotional moment. We feel lucky to photograph such a heartfelt part of this intimate event.
Cake and Dessert to Close the Small Wedding
After the first dance, the couple cuts the cake near the warm fire. Subsequently, everyone enjoys dessert together under the evening Catskills sky. Overall, it is a beautiful day where family gets to celebrate together. This is exactly what an intimate wedding should feel like.
Exploring the Catskills Beyond the Airbnb Micro Wedding
Beyond the celebration, Elizabeth and Andrew spend good time in the Catskills together. For example, they visit local favorites like the Phoenicia Diner nearby. Clearly, the area offers plenty to enjoy beyond the wedding itself. What a great place to host an Airbnb micro wedding in the Catskills.
Why We Love Photographing Intimate Catskills Weddings
As a Beacon-based Photography & Videography Team, we cherish these small, meaningful celebrations. Honestly, an intimate wedding lets us capture connection without any rush. We focus on real moments, real laughter, and the people who matter most. This elopement-style approach suits the Catskills setting beautifully.
Planning Your Own Airbnb Micro Wedding in the Catskills
If you dream of a small wedding surrounded by mountains, the Catskills delivers. Likewise, an Airbnb property gives you privacy, scenery, and flexible space. We would love to document your intimate day in Phoenicia or beyond. Ultimately, your celebration deserves photographers who understand the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
What Makes an Airbnb Micro Wedding in the Catskills Special
An Airbnb wedding gives couples a relaxed home base for the whole event. Additionally, the property becomes both ceremony space and backdrop for portraits. Elizabeth and Andrew use every part of the grounds throughout the day. Because of that, the photos feel rooted in one meaningful place.
Capturing Genuine Emotion at a Small Wedding
We always watch for the quiet, unscripted moments between people we photograph. For instance, a shared glance often says more than any posed shot. Throughout this intimate event, those real moments happen constantly. As a result, the gallery tells the true story of the day.
The Beauty of the Catskills as a Wedding Backdrop
The Catskills offer mountains, trees, and changing light across a single afternoon. Even with passing rain, the scenery stays dramatic and full of texture. We use that variety to create photos with depth and feeling. Honestly, few backdrops rival the Catskills for an intimate wedding.
Why Couples Choose Us as Hudson Valley Wedding Photographers
Couples come to us because we keep the experience calm and enjoyable. Specifically, we guide gently rather than stage every single moment stiffly. This approach suits an Airbnb micro wedding in the Catskills perfectly. Above all, our couples feel comfortable being fully themselves on camera.
Documenting Family Connection on the Wedding Day
Blended families bring extra meaning to a day like Elizabeth and Andrew’s. Therefore, we make sure the children feel included in the storytelling. Their flower petals and small roles become treasured parts of the gallery. In the end, the whole family sees themselves in these photographs.

Small Weddings Tell Big Stories
A small wedding often holds more emotion than a large formal affair. Because the group stays close, every reaction feels honest and present. We capture those feelings as they happen, never forcing a single pose. Consequently, the gallery becomes a true record of real connection.
