Wedding Weekends / Destination Elopements
Some celebrations deserve more than a single day. When you gather your favorite people in a beautiful place and stretch the experience across a full weekend, something shifts. There is time to breathe, time to actually talk to your guests, and time for morning coffee on the porch and late night conversations by the fire.

We are Megan and Kenneth, a married photo and video team based in Beacon, NY. This page is about the celebrations that take us on the road: full wedding weekends in the mountains and destination weddings and elopements across New England. Our home base is the Hudson Valley, and if that is where you are getting married, start with our Hudson Valley wedding photography or read more about us.

01 / The Weekend
When your guests travel to a beautiful place, they are not rushing off after the reception. They are staying. Hiking in the morning, swimming in the lake, gathering around bonfires at night. The pace slows down, and suddenly you have real time with the people you love.
We photograph the whole arc of a weekend, from welcome drinks and rehearsal dinners to the last dance and the farewell brunch. Wedding day coverage always includes two photographers, so we never miss a moment, and the rest of the weekend is built around what matters to you.

02 / Mountains
The mountains are made for wedding weekends. Many venues let you take over the entire property, which means no other guests and no interruptions, just you, your people, and the view.
Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, the High Peaks region. These places offer rugged beauty with lodges and lakefront properties where you can take over the entire space for your celebration. The towering pines, crisp mountain air, and that particular quiet you only find deep in the wilderness create a setting that feels worlds away from everyday life. We photograph wedding weekends throughout the Adirondacks, capturing everything from welcome events to farewell brunches. For more on where we travel upstate, see our Upstate New York wedding photographers page.

Lake Placid and the High PeaksThe heart of the Adirondacks. Historic lodges, Olympic history, and the region’s most dramatic mountain scenery.
Saranac LakeQuieter and more secluded, with stunning water access and a tight knit community feel.
Lake GeorgeThirty two miles of crystal clear water, historic resorts, private lakefront properties, and island venues reached only by boat.
Whiteface RegionA mix of rustic and refined venues with easy access to hiking and lake activities.
The Catskills have always attracted people looking for something different. Artists, musicians, writers, and dreamers have been escaping to these mountains for generations, and that creative spirit lives on in the venues, the food scene, and the couples who choose to get married here. Converted barns, boutique hotels, summer camps turned wedding venues, and private estates make for celebrations that feel personal and curated. The Catskills are part of our backyard, so you can find our core wedding photography here too.
Woodstock and PhoeniciaThe cultural heart of the Catskills, with venues that range from rustic to refined.
Delaware River ValleyA quieter, more pastoral feel with rolling farmland, river access, and serious privacy.
Sullivan CountyHistoric Borscht Belt resorts reimagined for modern celebrations.
Hunter and TannersvilleMountain towns with ski resort access, great for winter weddings and outdoor guest activities.
03 / New England
Looking for a destination wedding that does not require a passport? The Northeast has everything. Rocky coastlines in Maine, rolling farmland in Vermont, historic estates in Connecticut, Rhode Island’s beaches and mansions, the Berkshires in Massachusetts. Each state has its own character, but they all share that New England charm.
We photograph destination weddings and elopements throughout the Northeast, whether you are planning a cliffside ceremony in Acadia, an intimate gathering at a Newport estate, or a cozy winter elopement in Vermont.

AccessibilityYour guests can actually get there. No international flights, no complicated logistics. A few hours in the car and everyone is together.
Seasonal beautyFall foliage in Vermont, snowy ceremonies in the Berkshires, coastal summers in Maine, spring blooms in Connecticut gardens.
Weekend vibesWhen guests travel, they stay. That means more time together and more moments worth capturing.
Five statesRocky coastline, mountain farmland, historic estates, and island beaches, each with its own character.
Rhode Island
Newport’s gilded age mansions, Block Island’s windswept beaches, Providence’s urban elegance. Rhode Island packs surprising variety into a small state and is one of the most beautiful places to elope on the East Coast.
Maine
Acadia National Park, the rocky coast of Kennebunkport, Portland’s working waterfront. Maine offers rugged, wild beauty, and yes, lighthouse ceremonies and lobster bakes are welcome. See an Acadia elopement we photographed.
Vermont
Mountain views, covered bridges, farm to table everything. Fall weddings here are iconic, but winter elopements against snowy landscapes are equally breathtaking.
Connecticut
Rolling hills, historic inns, and estates tucked into the countryside. The Litchfield Hills and Connecticut River Valley are particularly stunning.
Massachusetts
The Berkshires’ cultural richness, Cape Cod’s beaches, and the island charm of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
04 / Elopements
Not every destination celebration needs a guest list. Some couples want to slip away to a beautiful place, say their vows, and have the whole experience documented. Elopements can be just the two of you or include a small group of your favorite people, and we photograph intimate celebrations of every size.

Stand on the cliffs at Acadia National Park at sunrise. Exchange vows on a private beach in Rhode Island. Hike to a waterfall in Vermont and say I do in the mist. Find a covered bridge in Connecticut and make it your ceremony backdrop. Charter a sailboat in Maine and marry on the water.
Elopements are not one size fits all, and neither are we. Tell us your dream, and we will help you figure out how to make it real. Planning something closer to home? Our Beacon City Hall elopement guide covers the courthouse option.

06 / Questions
Yes! We are based in Beacon, NY and travel throughout New York State and the Northeast for weddings and elopements. Travel is included for locations within 300 miles, and we provide custom quotes for destinations beyond that.
For wedding weekends, we recommend reaching out 12 to 18 months ahead when possible. These celebrations require more planning and our calendar fills up, especially for peak season weekends. That said, we have put together beautiful celebrations on shorter timelines too.
The Northeast is gorgeous in any weather. Misty mountain mornings, dramatic coastal skies, cozy indoor moments by the fire. We have photographed in hurricanes, snowstorms, and wildfire smoke. Weather does not scare us, and some of our favorite images come from imperfect conditions.
We have connections with planners, florists, caterers, and officiants throughout the Adirondacks, Catskills, and broader Northeast, and we are always happy to share recommendations.
Whether you are dreaming of a mountain lodge in the Adirondacks, a creative escape in the Catskills, or a coastal celebration in New England, we would love to hear about it. Tell us where you are headed and what you are envisioning, and we will take it from there.
