Ryan and Chris had a beautiful DUMBO elopement with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop. Getting married in the heart of December isn’t always the warmest, but it definitely is beautiful. These two were total troopers when taking their Brooklyn wedding photos, and we were so impressed with them.
Wedding Photos in DUMBO at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge
Starting out the day at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, it was the perfect spot for these two to get ready. They shared a first look right outside by the greenery wall, making for a secluded area to share this intimate moment.
First Look for a Winter DUMBO Elopement
For NYC elopements like these, not everybody chooses to share a first look. But we love when couples decide to because it adds an extra element of excitement to the day. Instead of getting ready together at the 1 Hotel, they got their wedding day outfits on separately.
Dressing for a Winter Elopement in New York City
Chris wore a beautiful wedding dress that was floor-length with short sleeves. She covered up from the cold with a big coat to keep her extra warm. Ryan wore a super handsome suit that kept him warm on this winter DUMBO elopement. Though it was a windy day, these two were all smiles the whole time.
Winter DUMBO Elopement on the Manhattan Skyline
Some couples just love wintertime, which is why they go with a winter elopement in Brooklyn Bridge Park. For these two, it had just snowed and the area was beautiful. We loved the reflective light coming from the freshly snowed area. Ryan even carried Chris over the slushy areas to make sure her dress didn’t get dirty.

As a couple who had a winter wedding themselves, we can tell you: it’s cold but it’s beautiful! There’s something so magical about winter wedding photos in NYC. Plus, nobody gets sweaty for their portraits which is a huge win for a lot of couples.
Tie the Knot by the Ferry Dock in DUMBO
They had a friend officiate their wedding on the New York skyline. Chris and Ryan chose to tie the knot with the Brooklyn Bridge as their backdrop. We love Brooklyn Bridge wedding photos because they really give that element of the Big Apple. They chose a pier near the Ferry Dock, which was pretty empty on this winter day.
