Daniella and Ryan got ready in the respective suites at their Shadowbrook wedding. The bridal suite was spacious and allowed for gorgeous wedding photos with natural light. We hung Daniella’s wedding dress from the window and loved the decor of the suites. The staff at this NJ event venue were so thoughtful and were totally on the ball when it came to wedding assistance.

Once these two were ready, it was time for their first look. It had been threatening to rain all day, but thankfully it held off. Instead, we had a beautiful overcast day with nice even lighting. You may be hoping for a totally sunny day on your big day, but don’t worry if it’s overcast. It actually creates a beautiful, soft and flattering light for your NJ wedding photography that can work out even better than on sunny days.

At this Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury wedding, we held the first look nearby to the ceremony space. There are gorgeous white pillars and a great outdoor space for cocktail hour. Daniella and Ryan saw each other for the first time and had nothing but huge smiles and admiration for each other. It was a fantastic way to set the tone for their day.

This wedding ceremony was highly emotional and full of personality. They had readings from loved ones during the ceremony. We loved this element since the covered ceremony area was bright and spacious even though it was protected from the elements.

After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds. Daniella and Ryan’s unique love story was perfectly fitting at this New Jersey wedding venue. Their cocktail hour was full of different styles of food, making for a diverse selection for their family and friends. The dishes were a hit with loved ones, who dined both indoors and outdoors during this cocktail time.

Once cocktail hour was over, the reception began in the main ballroom. As NJ wedding photographers, we love having the space in larger ballrooms like these to move around. It makes for a super fun wedding day where we can explore light and get different angles for your wedding videography and photography.

The reception began with entrances from loved ones and the couple. They then transitioned into the first dance, a lovely moment for photography and video. The ballroom at this Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury wedding allowed for the couple to come down the spiral stairs to greet their guests for the first dance. Daniella and Ryan then shared special dances with loved ones.

We also did a sparkler moment with the couple outside. Since they had an event planned for later in the reception, we wanted to get this done earlier in the night. Sometimes we do sparkler moments with couples before the end of the night. We do this because at the end of the night, guests can be pretty inebriated and make it a little more difficult to direct them with sparklers.

After the sparklers, the couple brought in a Philadelphia Mummers Band. This was a gift from the bride’s family to the groom’s family. It was a super special moment for the couple as this was a huge treat for the groom. Daniella and Ryan’s guests were stoked and had so much fun dancing around. As a New Jersey wedding photography and videography team, this scenario was a total dream for us to capture.

Instead of a bouquet toss, Daniella and Ryan had a super unique idea. They lined up their guests at this Shadowbrook wedding in NJ and tossed Nerf balls into the crowd. Whoever caught the Nerfs were then gifted a bottle of wine. We love when couples choose traditions for their special day and customize them to fit their needs and love stories.

After cutting the cake, the couple then treated their guests to a wild flambé show at their Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury wedding. The room went dark and the chefs performed this fiery dessert tradition. This was also the sign that the Venetian dessert display was opening up. Daniella and Ryan’s guests loved this super interactive experience with sweets, from cakes, to cookies, to shakes, to cotton candy.

Finally, it was time to wrap up the night with a little more dancing. Everyone flocked to the dance floor to get their last dances in before the night was over. Daniella and Ryan had so much fun at their NJ wedding with tons of family and friends. This large wedding was perfect in the ballroom space at Shadowbrook.
