We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
When it comes to iconic New York pre-wedding images, you can’t go wrong with autumn. The best time for a sweet engagement photoshoot in Central Park is definitely the fall. The foliage is unbeatable, and the light is just perfect early in the morning. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we always recommend our couples come to this park as early as possible to get empty locations and the best possible shots.

Brooke and Patrick were absolute superstars when it came to their engagement session. We love how these two leaned in and had a super fun time. Their dog was also adorable and seemed to smile throughout the entire photo shoot. Plus, we love the way that these two dressed for the autumn. Their color palette really matched the environment beautifully.

Even their dog dressed up for the occasion. We do recommend that if you plan to bring a dog, bring a friend as well. This will help you manage your dog without having to worry during your time in front of the camera. Additionally, when it comes to an engagement photoshoot in Central Park, there are lots of other dogs around. You’ll want someone there to wrangle and keep your dog calm during all the commotion.

Patrick and Brooke’s photos began at Bethesda Terrace. We wanted to get the fountain before it became too crowded. The light reflecting off the water was just beautiful. We use the arcade as a backdrop as well, and the gorgeous interior designs for some variety. This is one of our favorite locations to shoot because it’s so versatile, and you get so much in one area. Between the lake, the boathouse, the arcade, and the Bethesda fountain, you have half of a shoot right there.

We then brought the couple to The Mall for their engagement photoshoot in Central Park. In the autumn, you can’t miss out on these stunning trees. The line of foliage in every season is lovely, but there is something so radiant about the warm leaves in the autumn. It’s one of our favorite locations for engagement photos in Manhattan. Other great spots include Gapstow Bridge, the Conservatory Garden, Bow Bridge, and Belvedere Castle. There are too many glorious spots in the autumn for your pre-wedding photography to count.

As a wedding photography team in the Hudson Valley, we can’t recommend an engagement shoot more highly. That’s why we include them in our region with every wedding package. We do have a small travel fee for NYC engagement photo locations, but spots like Central Park just make it so worth it! Our team loves to capture everything here, from the cherry blossoms to fallen leaves.
When you plan your Central Park engagement photoshoot in Manhattan, reach out to our team. We know this area like the back of our hands! Having lived for almost a decade in the city, we know the best hidden gems for your engagement and wedding day coverage. Let’s chat about how we can bring out the best in your candid, authentic engagement photography.
Either way works for us! We’ll be in touch in no time at all to book in a chat with you and, yes, we’re sure Cordy and Phoebe will pop up and say hi.
