We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
We had the joy of documenting Michele and Jivago’s wedding at The Roundhouse in Beacon, New York. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we adore The Roundhouse for its stunning setting above a waterfall. An overcast sky covered most of the day, delivering soft and even light throughout. That kind of diffused light makes shadows gentle and colors rich, which is truly a photographer’s dream.

Michele got ready in the stunning bridal suite penthouse at The Roundhouse. Jivago prepared in the green room inside the event space, surrounded by his closest people. Both getting-ready sessions offered intimate and emotional moments for us to document. The separate spaces allowed each partner their own meaningful time before the ceremony began.

Before the ceremony, we had the privilege of capturing some deeply moving first looks. Jivago shared a tearful and beautiful moment with his mother that truly stopped time. Meanwhile, Michele had a tender reveal with her father that brought everyone to tears. She also surprised her bridesmaids with an adorable reveal that filled the room with pure joy.

Michele and Jivago wanted nature front and center in their wedding photos at The Roundhouse. Consequently, we kept our portrait time on the Bay side of the campus, rich with lush greenery. We photographed the couple by the waterfall, the ivy walls, and the wisteria near the venue entrance. The brick buildings added beautiful texture as backdrops throughout the portrait session.

Family portraits took place in the ceremony space, framed by the lush green hedges. Those hedges create a clean and verdant backdrop that works perfectly for group images. As a Beacon-based photography team, we know this venue well and plan our shot list accordingly. Every grouping felt relaxed and genuine, which is always our goal on wedding days.

The ceremony itself was absolutely beautiful and deeply heartfelt from beginning to end. Remarkably, the sun broke through the clouds just as Michele and Jivago read their vows. That warm, directional light gave those moments a cinematic quality we could not have planned. It was one of those magical timing gifts that reminds us why we love this work.

After the ceremony, guests gathered outside for cocktail hour on the patio at Roundhouse Beacon. The sound of the waterfall on Fishkill Creek made the space feel alive and celebratory. We took advantage of the golden hour light to grab a few more creative couple portraits. The transition from ceremony to cocktail hour was seamless and beautifully paced by the venue team.

The reception inside the event space radiated energy and elegance from the very first moment. Michele and Jivago were introduced as a married couple and swept right into their first dance. Parent dances and heartfelt speeches followed, celebrating the love surrounding this couple. Since many guests had traveled far, the couple truly prioritized connection and quality time all evening.

One of the most stunning design elements was the disco ball installation in the reception room. The reflections it cast created some of the most dynamic and joyful images of the whole day. We absolutely love shooting receptions with creative lighting because it adds so much energy to the photos. The dance floor was packed all night, and every frame showed how much love filled that room.

Every stunning detail came together because of a talented and dedicated vendor team. The venue is Roundhouse Beacon, and florals and planning came from Wild Blooms Bridal and Lauren Fitzmaurice. Hair and makeup were beautifully handled by Kindred Beauty Co. Suits were sourced from Men’s Wearhouse, and the gown came from Lovely Bride and Made With Love Bridal.
Music throughout the evening was provided by MD Music DJ, keeping the energy high all night. The photo booth was run by Hudson Valley GIF Booth, and guests absolutely loved it. Content creation was handled by GM Creative Agency and By Grace Lee. We are so grateful to have worked alongside such a skilled and passionate team.

The Roundhouse is truly one of our favorite venues in the entire Hudson Valley. It blends industrial history with modern elegance, giving photographers so much visual variety to work with. The exposed brick, wood beams, and sweeping windows create a rich and dynamic setting. As a Beacon-based photography team, we feel completely at home every time we photograph here.
