Caroline and Ziab’s Roundhouse wedding landed on a gorgeous early autumn day in Beacon, NY. As a married team of Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we love working at this venue. It sits just minutes from our home, so we know every corner of it well. From quiet getting ready moments to a packed dance floor, this day had a little bit of everything.A bride gets her makeup done. Getting Ready Photos in the Roundhouse Penthouse

First, Caroline got ready in the penthouse suite while Ziab settled into a room in the main hotel. The penthouse fills with soft window light, which makes it a favorite space of ours for bridal prep. Meanwhile, Ziab and his crew kept things relaxed and easy on their side of the property. Next, Caroline did a sweet first look with her bridesmaids before heading downstairs. It gave her friends their own quiet chance to see her before anyone else. First Look by the Train Tracks Near Fishkill Overlook Falls

After that, Caroline and Ziab shared their own first look near the train tracks by the Roundhouse restaurant. This corner of the property has great tree coverage, which keeps the light soft and even. The sun was out during portraits, so that natural shade was a real asset. Next, we walked over to the waterfall viewing spot on the train track side of the property. The falls rush right past the venue, and the sound alone makes this spot feel special. Strolling Main Street in Beacon for Wedding Portraits

Then we took a walk along Main Street, which starts right at the venue’s doorstep. Main Street has colorful storefronts, brick buildings, and a small town feel that photographs beautifully. Walking together also gave Caroline and Ziab a chance to breathe and enjoy each other. After that, we circled back and photographed the couple in front of the restaurant building. Every Roundhouse wedding benefits from this mix of original brick and clean, modern updates. Next, we headed back toward the venue for family and wedding party photos by the hedges. The hedges create a tidy, green backdrop that works well for large groups. We moved through the family list quickly so everyone could get back to celebrating. An Outdoor Early Autumn Ceremony in Beacon at The Roundhouse

The ceremony took place outside, and the early autumn weather could not have been better. By then, clouds had rolled in and softened the light across the whole ceremony space. Overcast light is a gift for a Roundhouse wedding ceremony because it keeps faces bright and even. After the ceremony, cocktail hour stayed outside so guests could enjoy the fresh air. Drinks and conversation flowed while the couple soaked in time with friends and family. We moved through the crowd and captured candid reactions, hugs, and plenty of laughter. Then the party moved inside for the reception, and the room looked incredible. A large round halo wrapped in greenery hung above the dance floor, glowing with warm bulbs. Grand Introduction and First Dance

First, Caroline and Ziab were introduced to a cheering room of friends and family. Next, they went straight into their first dance under that glowing halo. The warm light behind them created beautiful rim light and depth in our frames. After that, a few loved ones raised their glasses and shared heartfelt speeches. Then came the parent dances, which were some of the most emotional moments of this Roundhouse wedding. Throughout the day, we photograph in a documentary style that favors real moments over stiff posing. We give gentle direction during portraits, then step back once the couple relaxes.
