Glo and Alex’s intimate winter 26Bridge wedding in DUMBO is one of those unforgettable days. As wedding photographers in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, we always appreciate coming down to this borough. Brooklyn Bridge Park, just steps away from this event space, is one of our favorite spots to photograph. This wedding features no shortage of the incredible neighborhood in the couple’s pre-wedding images.
Getting Ready for 26Bridge Wedding at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn
The day starts with the couple in separate locations, with the bride at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. For weddings in the area, this is a perfect hotel to take your getting ready photos. With easy access to the park, you’re just steps away from your first look when you get ready here. The groom started the day at a private residence before heading over to the park for the couple’s portrait time.
Romantic, Intimate Portraits in Brooklyn Bridge Park and DUMBO
Before heading to their DUMBO venue, the couple met up in the park. Glo approached Alex and attempted to pants him before he turned around. This is the sign of a fun time to come – giggles to start the wedding day. The groom’s emotional reaction further brought a rush of emotions into this moment. We then took the couple through Brooklyn Bridge Park as their wedding photography and videography team.
Brooklyn Bridge Park Wedding Portraits and First Look
The exposed brick of the Max Family Garden walls mirrors the beauty of their 26Bridge wedding venue. We also love incorporating the New York City skyline into DUMBO wedding photos. This park is super easy to work with, even when it’s filled with tourists in the afternoon. We can’t stop talking about how beautiful these winter golden hour portraits are for this amazing couple.
Circular Ceremony Setup at 26Bridge Wedding Venue
Their wedding party met up with Glo and Alex at the venue. 26Bridge has gorgeous cobblestone streets nearby, making for an easy backdrop to get great group photos. The couple paraded down the streets with their crew before stopping for a kiss. We also love the outside of this wedding venue for the large, industrial glass windows. The red exterior of the building is a great spot that we highly recommend for your group photos.
Authentic, Fun Wedding Photography at Industrial New York Event Space
Family was kept warm indoors for their group photos. As this was a winter 26Bridge wedding, we wanted to ensure everyone’s comfort. Loved ones gathered before the special moment of the actual ceremony to get their formal shots. We love the circular setup of the ceremony space, as it provides guests ample angles to view the couple. It also makes a ceremony feel more intimate, like your guests are giving you a big group hug.
A Lively Wedding Dance Floor at 26Bridge in DUMBO, Brooklyn
Post-ceremony, the party really began. Cocktail hour took place while Creative Foods Catering set up for dinner. With lighting by ULS, the space was carefully transformed into a gorgeous dinner reception. Florals by City Blossoms decorated the space, and Bud Maltin Metropolitan Music started the show. Things kicked off with a Korean Tea Ceremony before dances, speeches, and more fun.
