Meghan and Charlie’s autumn Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding was a sight for sore eyes. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, it doesn’t get much more dreamy than this. With the bride in a stunning gown and groom in a tux, their elegant affair is serious inspiraiton. The Palm House makes a perfect event venue for a classy celebration like this.
The couple each got ready at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriott, a hotel conveniently located in downtown Brooklyn. We love photos at this hotel when couples get ready. For their Palm House wedding, they were surrounded by family and friends during this important time. The natural light came in through the hotel room windows. It’s the perfect spot to capture all of a couple’s details. For events at the BBG, people also book the Ace Hotel Brooklyn, the One Hotel DUMBO, or get ready in the cozy suite at the venue.
When the couple was ready to go, we made our way over to the venue. On a Friday afternoon, their travel time was about 30 minutes to the venue. This is good to know for couples who are planning out their wedding day timeline. You’ll want to factor in travel as a big part of it. If you’re taking a shuttle or Ubers, be sure to order your ride ahead of time.
Charlie and Meghan’s first look took place by the lily pond at their Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding. This is one of the most magical locations to take pictures at this NYC event venue. Although the lilies weren’t prominent in the autumn, the reflections of the fall foliage is amazing. We love that the couple did a first look so they could enjoy their cocktail hour.
The ceremony took place inside the Palm House, flooded with natural light. The sun began to set and it created an elegant ambiance in the space. With heartfelt vows, these two committed to each other for the rest of their lives. The wedding ceremony concluded with a kiss before the bride and groom made their way back down the aisle.
Cocktail hour was held outside by the lily pond. While the sun set and most of cocktail hour was in the dark, it created a paparazzi moment for their Brooklyn wedding photography. The Patina events team did a great job at creating a warm environment for the evening. We think the Patina Restaurant Group catering is just incredible – and so do guests.
Once cocktail hour was over, it was time for Meghan and Charlie’s Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding reception. It was so much fun to see their whole party tear it up at the Palm House wedding venue. This is one of the most elegant and classic event spaces in New York City. We love the way the DJ turned the Palm House into an epic dance party for the couple’s loved ones.
We always say that your wedding reception is one of the most important parts of your wedding day. This is when you get to celebrate your marriage with all of your closest family and friends. And what’s a better way to remember your wedding reception than by having candid wedding photos in NYC of you and your guests having the time of their lives? That’s why we always recommend that couples have a team of Hudson Valley wedding photographers to document this special time.
As the night went on, we made our way into the dance floor to document the party. The energy was incredible as guests surrounded the bride and groom to dance the night away. We love using flash to add an extra element to the reception photos. It really helps to capture the feeling of the party and the joy that everyone is experiencing.
A great wedding photographer will help you to remember all of the laughter, fun, and love from your wedding day. They will capture the feeling of your wedding day so that you can relive it again and again. Meghan and Charlie’s wedding was so much fun, and we are so glad that we were able to capture it for them.
The whole night was an incredible experience. If you’re looking for candid Brooklyn wedding photographers to capture your reception photos, look no further. We had so much fun documenting Meghan and Charlie’s Palm House wedding. Their love for each other was evident in every single photo.
The evening ended with a sparkler send-off for the newlyweds. This is one of our favorite ways to end a wedding day. As Brooklyn wedding photographers, we always encourage couples to do a send-off. It’s such a fun way to end the night on a high note.
As wedding photographers based in the Hudson Valley, this event at the BBG was one of our favorites of the year. We loved the playful fall light. Autumn is a great time to host an event at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The Palm House allows some gorgeous golden hour photo opportunities during your ceremony. We also love that the garden provides indoor options for your NYC wedding photos if the weather turns.
Patina Events at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden does an incredible job at making this space feel warm and intimate for your event. With the ability to accommodate up to 250 seated guests, you can have a grand soiree or an intimate affair. Beyond the Palm House, they also have the Atrium, a separate venue located very close by.
When you tie the knot at this premier event space in New York, you also have the option to host your ceremony outdoors. There are many areas of this location that are perfect for an outdoor wedding ceremony. We love that Meghan and Charlie had a gorgeous ceremony in the Palm House with their large glass walls and ceiling.
As one of the best Hudson Valley wedding photo and video teams, we adore capturing celebrations at this venue. If you plan to host a Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding, you can’t go wrong with your choices. Everything at this ceremony and reception venue is top notch. If you want elegant, documentary style Brooklyn wedding photography, the Palm House is the perfect location.
