These two wanted a low-stress celebration of love. It was great to have everything from the ceremony to the reception take place in one venue.

Getting Ready for Floral Terrace Wedding Photos

Annette and Marlana got dressed separately at the venue. There was a main bridal suite on the top floor, and then another room to use on the second floor. It was great because this added to the element of surprise in their first look. As New York wedding photographers, it was easy for us to split up in the same venue to get coverage of their Floral Terrace wedding photos.

For Annette and Marlana, they were very excited to see each other but also wanted to spend as much time as possible with their guests at the reception. Seeing each other before the ceremony meant that they could take all of their portraits before the ceremony and then be present for every moment at the reception. This was very important to them, and we were happy to accommodate their wishes.

Doing a first look also meant that we could take full advantage of the gorgeous light at Floral Terrace. The ceremony was scheduled for early evening, so the sun would have been setting by the time it concluded. This would have made for some very pretty portraits, but we would have missed out on the opportunity to use the light to its full potential.
