Katelyn and Karsh had a gorgeous 74Wythe wedding in the heart of Williamsburg on a blustery winter day. Although the weather was imperfect, these two made the most of this wild February afternoon. The wedding of their dreams took place with gorgeous rooftop New York views. This Brooklyn wedding venue features a mix of outdoor and indoor space, with a glass rooftop enclosure ensuring a cozy event for guests.
Katelyn and Karsh were so excited to get ready for their big day. They have gorgeous rooms at the William Vale hotel, which is only a quick walk from the 74Wythe wedding venue. The curling iron came in handy as it helped guide all of those tresses into place before styling with some natural movement. Curled and Contoured did an incredible job with Katelyn’s vintage-inspired glam look. The whole squad looked absolutely radiant. Their details were beautiful for photos and included a sentimental letter-reading from each half of the couple.
You’d never believe it looking at the photos, but what came next was bizarre. The couple’s first look during their winter wedding was stormy but it didn’t stop them from getting married! A snowstorm came out of nowhere and transformed into a blizzard. Fortunately, we got the couple over to their 74Wythe wedding ceremony space before the squall hit. Although the timeline ran a little behind, we made sure that Katelyn & Karash had some time alone together.
The views from the 74Wythe wedding venue are spectacular, and we were so excited to have the ceremony “outdoors” while staying warm indoors. The glass rooftop enclosure allowed us to take advantage of the stunning skyline views of Brooklyn and Manhattan. With the wild weather throughout the day, it made for a beautiful and unforgettable ceremony space.
Given the chilly weather, we kept the couple inside for their portrait session. As New York wedding photographers, we totally understand that weather can be unpredictable and adapt to it. The industrial feel of the 74Wythe wedding venue provided a great backdrop for their photos. Brooklyn wedding photography is always a favorite, and we loved capturing these moments for Katelyn & Karsh.
After a whirlwind of a day, the newlyweds headed to the J Bird Lounge for some post-wedding fun. This eclectic lounge is located in downstairs area of the venue. It features gorgeous decor and thoughtfully placed details, plus a great vibe. This is a beautiful wedding to take tons of inspiration from.
This 74Wythe wedding featured the reception upstairs in the enclosed rooftop space. It was the perfect way for guests to enjoy the evening. There were so many romantic and fun details placed throughout the evening. From the escort cards to the sweetheart table, everything came together perfectly. Katelyn & Karsh’s friends and family danced the night away and we loved capturing all of the memories.
Although we love dogs, sometimes weddings can be stressful for your furry friends. The guests loved everything about their Toby-centric wedding details. From the wax seal place cards, to Tipsy Toby cocktails served in his honor, and a cutout image of him sitting prominently at the bar – everyone loved the details. Plus, their cake topper had been Toby-themed as well to make their pup feel even more included in the big day. Although he spent the day at daycare, you can feel the love for Toby in these photos like he’s there with them.
Every single vendor pulled this together to create an incredible day. From Amy at Poppy & Lynn’s incredible planning expertise, to Olivia Howard Designs creating incredible florals, we were obsessed with their big day. Curled and Contoured did incredible hair and makeup, while DJ Simon Taiga at Remixologists crushed it on the dance floor. Flux Photo Booth Company gave the guests a great interactive experience, while Creative Foods Catering allowed the guests their awesome meals. Plus, you can’t forget about the cake from Buttermilk Bake Shop! Overall, this team was one of those dream teams you’ll never forget.
