We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
Jeanine and Doug took their Soho engagement photos early on a rainy morning in Manhattan. We love doing engagement photography sessions in this neighborhood early in the morning before tourists and New Yorkers flood the streets. As one of the most popular photo locations in the big apple, we love featuring the cobblestone streets and stunning architecture of this session spot.

These two wanted to take engagement pictures that spoke to their classic New York City vibes. Living in the Chelsea neighborhood, they love the city and its amazing, iconic architecture. Many photographers in New York love to take Soho engagement photos because there are so many iconic views and buildings in the area.
For engagement sessions in Manhattan, we recommend starting as early as possible. With Jeanine and Doug, we started at the crack of dawn. It was a super early morning, but it’s always worth it to capture the empty streets in Soho. Plus, it’s kind of nice on overcast mornings like these to have some of the street lights and traffic lights more visible in the shots.
We love doing New York engagement photoshoots because it gets our couples comfortable in front of the camera. Jeanine and Doug were nervous about feeling awkward, but they did an amazing job with their shoot. These two totally leaned in and trusted the process when it came to their Soho engagement photos.

Although it was rainy for this session, the rain made the photos even more magical. Some of our favorite locations are made even more magical by having wet and shiny streets. There’s something about rain in the city that creates stunning engagement photos no matter the season. We’ve got some favorite locations in Soho for engagement photos because this spacious neighborhood has lots of options.
Whether you’re taking wedding photos or doing your engagement session, Soho is a great place to go with your New York engagement photographer. Some of our favorite spots include the street outside of the Ralph Lauren store, the outside of the NOMO SOHO, the outside of Fanelli’s Cafe, and others. Iconic locations like the Prince Street Station, Broadway & Spring Street, and West Broadway can provide classic vibes and beautiful views.
You may be trying to choose your engagement photography location in New York and wondering where to go. Soho is a great choice for engagement photos because you have lots of versatile spots to take pictures. On top of that, it’s pretty quintessential if you live in the city. Plus, you might have a lot of memories together in Soho which is perfect for your engagement or wedding photography.
