Although Sara and Sumaya aren’t ready to tie the knot yet, they did participate in these inspirational wedding photos at Sound River Studios. We wanted to capture the beauty of an actual wedding day, and used a real couple to achieve genuine love and emotion in the photos. The color palette of the shoot was thematic for the transition of summer to fall, with lots of greens, oranges, and warmer tones colliding with the cooler greens.

Collaborating with an Incredible Brooklyn Wedding Vendor Team

This wedding photo shoot was pulled together by a fantastic team of NYC wedding vendors. With wedding photography by Megan & Kenneth, we had help with production from Judson Rappaport. Planning was done by Simply Styled Events, one of our favorite wedding planners in New York City. The wedding dresses were pulled from Beacon-based dress designer, Loulette Bride – an absolute favorite for us.

The Best Brooklyn Wedding Vendors

Olivia Howard Designs (one of our faaavorite florists!) did an incredible job with the floral decor. Party Rental Ltd supplied the rentals, while Minted supplied the stationery. Hair was done by Andy Tseng, while makeup was done by Christina Delfino. The lovely couple featured in this shoot is Sara & Sumaya. Last but not least, let’s talk food! STUF’D food truck supplied the catering, while Baked NYC did the cake.

Wedding Photos at Sound River Studios

We loved capturing these wedding photos at Sound River Studios. The space itself has super high ceilings and blank white walls. As a gallery-style space, it’s a great raw space wedding venue in NYC to transform. Given that it’s such a spacious venue, it can accommodate up to 250-275 for weddings with ceremony, cocktails, and reception.

There is a kitchen at the venue equipped for your catering. There is, additionally, an outdoor space that features a private dock on the East River. It also has a wedding suite/green room, perfect for doing literally everything at one single venue. The best part? There’s so much natural light, leaving you incredible options for your wedding photos in the space.

It can be challenging to think of how to decorate a raw space wedding venue in NYC. That’s why it was so great to work with Simply Styled Events to figure out the best options for this space. When working with a raw space, having a wedding planner can make a world of difference. These two transformed Sound River into something wonderfully inspiring for a wedding celebration.

Not only is there the stunning outdoor space with views of the Manhattan skyline, but Sound River Studios offers a ton of opportunity in wedding photos. The outside features exposed brick walls, creating a rustic vibe in your wedding photo gallery. It’s also a great option to juxtapose the white interiors of the gallery-style venue.
