Jackie and Jamie’s beautiful Renaissance Event Hall wedding took place in Long Island City, NY. Our photo and video team started off at the couple’s respective getting ready locations. Jamie got ready at the Boro Hotel, and Jackie got ready at the venue. Renaissance Event Hall has a spacious suite for getting ready. It also opens up into an outdoor space, making your pre-wedding experience easy and breezy. The Boro Hotel is a gorgeous spot with views of the Manhattan skyline. We love that these two had their wedding party crews to help start the day.

Once these brides were ready to get out the door, it was time to go to the first look. These photos are from Astoria Park, which makes for a great LIC-adjacent photo location. Jamie took a vintage taxi by Film Cars NYC over to the park to surprise her bride. With autumn foliage behind them, these two stood back-to-back before seeing each other. Prior to their Renaissance Event Hall wedding, this was a great spot to get their formal photography out of the way.

These two had fun, candid first look moments. We absolutely love Jackie and Jamie’s reactions to each other. This couple is so full of love, and we are thrilled to have captured their LGBTQ wedding photos. We walked around Astoria Park and took photos with the brides, and their taxi. Cabs are an incredible prop to add to your New York wedding photo shoot. It really helps your big day coverage stand out. Additionally, there is a timeless quality to a yellow taxi.

Event Space with Tons of Potential in LIC at Renaissance Event Hall Wedding

Before the couple’s ceremony and reception, they held their Ketubah signing in the outdoor space. This courtyard was a cozy spot for the couple and their loved ones to have this special tradition. We love that this venue has an intimate outdoor option so you can have moments like this. It’s a great place to step away from the hustle and bustle of wedding ceremonies and the overall party. This is one of those versatile event spaces where you can plan smaller moments with friend and family on your special day.

LGBTQ Wedding Photography in New York City with Disco Theme at Venue

As Hudson Valley wedding photographers and videographers, we are in love with every detail of this celebration. From the disco ball installation by ULS to the florals from Miriam Bloom Designs, everything was carefully crafted to meet the personal preferences of this wonderful LGBTQ couple. Their wedding cake was done by Tyler Lowe, and the couple surprised guests with an ice cream truck as well.

During cocktail hour, the couple had the Ripped Bodice host a book bar for guests. Family and friends could take home books that were special to the couple, making yet another personalized wedding tradition for these two. We love that everything was done to Jamie and Jackie’s taste. DJ Mariko had the dance floor popping all night, and the incredible wedding planner, Amy at Poppy & Lynn, managed the event flawlessly.
