It’s always such a joy to photograph celebrations at this all-inclusive Brooklyn wedding venue, Deity. Kyra and Iulian tied the knot at Deity Brooklyn, right in the heart of the downtown area. Their fun fairytale wedding day was the stuff dreams are made of. We’re so honored to have captured these special moments for this lovely couple.

As Brooklyn wedding photographers, it always makes us so happy to capture love stories in the heart of our borough. That’s exactly what it’s like capturing moments at Deity. Based in the downtown core, this NYC wedding venue is a converted temple with exposed brick and tons of detail.

The team and professional wait staff at Deity Brooklyn are part of the charm of this multi-floor venue. We’ve loved collaborating with this amazing crew to pull off stress free weddings at this space. From seated dinners to day-of coordination, we’ve been impressed with the events team here every time.

Getting Ready Photos in the Bridal Suite at Deity

Kyra and Iulian’s day started off in the bridal suite on one of the upper floors of Deity. The beautiful bride got dressed up in the suite, while our handsome groom got ready at a nearby hotel. We absolutely adore the bridal suite at this Brooklyn wedding venue, it’s super unique and full of natural light. Plus, the decor is super pretty and there’s an outdoor balcony for photos.

These two then had their first look on the rooftop. You have beautiful views of downtown Brooklyn from the rooftop featuring classic city architecture. Plus, the space is super unique with a small pool and lounge area. We used the stark white walls as backdrops for Kyra and Iulian’s first look photos.

After the first look, we walked around the neighborhood taking Brooklyn wedding photos. Deity is wonderful because the location is within an iconic neighborhood in the borough. There are tons of brownstones and sweet storefronts to make great backdrops. Plus, the light was just lovely in the late afternoon on this warm day.

It felt like a callback to their engagement shoot when we were out taking photos. Kyra and Iulian did their engagement photos throughout Brooklyn Heights, which makes perfect sense. Given that their wedding would take place at this downtown venue, they got to keep things on theme for their save-the-dates and wedding website.

Taking Wedding Pictures at Deity Brooklyn

After we ran outside, we came in for some group photos in the ceremony space at Deity. This NYC wedding venue is great for many reasons, but one of them is the scenic ceremony space. We used the arch for the ceremony as a backdrop for group photos to easily change people in and out.

Beautiful, Personal Deity Wedding Ceremony

Kyra and Iulian had a super romantic and sweet wedding ceremony. We loved the personal aspects these two brought into their big moment. After it was time to say ‘I Do’, these two headed back down the aisle together. Surrounded by family and friends, the room was so full of love.

Cocktail Hour in Downtown Brooklyn Wedding Venue

We love Deity Brooklyn because of their multi-layer event space with several floors. We went to the floor below the ceremony space for a fun evening of cocktails and good times. This was then followed by dinner in the ceremony space which had been beautifully flipped.

Wedding Reception Photos at Deity in New York

Next came the party party party! We loved the Deity wedding reception for Kyra and Iulian’s wedding, taking place on the basement level. This area has a beautiful sign that says ‘Brooklyn Love’, the perfect backdrop for intimate wedding photos. The exposed brick walls make for a super romantic and rustic wedding reception in NYC.
