On a rainy day in Williamsburg, we happily photographed a wonderful engaged couple, Priya and Shiamak, in a Brooklyn Winery wedding photo session. These two brought so much energy and life to this romantic and rustic wedding photography in Brooklyn. With Rachel Behar Events planning and coordinating, we were so thrilled to work with an amazing team on this.
Brooklyn Winery weddings are definitely a favorite for us. This romantic Williamsburg wedding venue is all around a gorgeous spot to get married. From its rustic wooden interiors to its intimate bar area, you can’t go wrong with having your celebration here. Taking wedding photos at this NYC event space is like a photographer’s dream.
Yellow Bow Florals provided the floral design, creating incredible pieces that fit the venue amazingly. We particularly loved their floral design around the triangle arch, setting the scene for these hip Brooklyn wedding photos in Williamsburg. The color palettes used were also sweet and fitting to a lovely springtime wedding day.
Rentals were provided by Smith Party Rentals, with specialty furniture done by Rentquest NYC. Linens were from Snassy Crafter and the cake stand was done by Pottery by Eleni. All of these pieces coming together made for a super inspiring Brooklyn Winery wedding photography shoot, especially with the pink chairs for the ceremony space.
Styling for Priya and Shiamak was done by Don’t Say Neil, using gowns from Lotus Threads. Willowhouse Beauty provided the hair and makeup for Priya, making a gorgeous and elegant NYC wedding beauty look. These two were dressed to the nines for their super romantic photography.
This team brough together a beautiful Brooklyn Winery wedding look and feel that was set to inspire. We loved capturing this intimate celebration of love between Priya and Shiamak while at the same time creating a beautiful and inspirational photo session. Although these two weren’t set to be married quite yet, they really enjoyed having that moment at the altar together.
We also tested out having the arch on three different walls of the winery. This was important so couples who are getting married at this Brooklyn event space can see what the options are for their wedding. Our favorite was having the arch against the plant wall, creating a beautiful and organic backdrop for the celebration. At Brooklyn Winery weddings, some couples also choose to have the arch against the window which is lovely but can make for backlit photos during the daytime.
The arch and the florals blended beautifully with the plant wall at the winery, and it was like the venue spoke for itself in terms of décor. We loved seeing everything fall into place in this beautiful way. After we got the ceremony photos done, we took some more relaxed wedding photos in the bar area. This lounge is the perfect spot for a cocktail hour with guests.
This venue is awesome for many reasons, one of which is that it’s great in any season. From winter to summer, you can’t go wrong with this event space in the heart of Williamsburg. We loved the springtime wedding theme of this session because the bright and natural feeling of the ceremony space really spoke to springtime.
Some couples choose to have evening or night time weddings at Brooklyn Winery. There are lots of options when it comes to this venue, so choose what’s best for you. We’ve even captured a brunch/lunch time wedding at this great place before, and it was a sun-soaked and love-filled occasion. Keep in mind that the natural light can be quite harsh in the ceremony room depending on the season and time of day.
If you’re curious about the space itself, head there for a glass of wine during the evening sometime. They’re also open as a restaurant and winery, so it’s worth it to check out ahead of time. You can scope out the space and get a taste for their food and wine. Spoiler alert: it’s absolutely delicious. The venue staff is also super friendly and kind, so definitely poke your head in for a peek at the wedding venue.
Additionally, you may wonder if a springtime wedding is best for you in New York. This is one of the most magical times of year in the city because there are beautiful blossoms everywhere. Plus, the light is beautiful and the weather is stunning. It’s totally worth it to tie the knot in the spring in the city.
Finally, since it was a rainy day, we had to get a few rainy and romantic wedding photos in Brooklyn. We stepped outside of the winery with clear umbrellas while it was pouring rain. It was such a beautiful moment to see these two leaning in and thriving together as an engaged couple. Rain or shine, love will stand the test.
Located in the heart of Williamsburg, this quintessential Brooklyn wedding venue is a great consideration. With three main rooms, you have the option of the sun-soaked ceremony space, the dark and moody cocktail lounge, and the third event space room with an industrial feeling. It’s so awesome to capture weddings in this space because each one is so creative and unique.
If you’re thinking about having a Brooklyn Winery wedding, let us know. We absolutely love taking photos at this venue as Brooklyn wedding photographers. It’s truly a remarkable space that takes you out of the hustle and bustle of the city and puts you right into a rustic and romantic environment.
