Aleen and James had a fantastic Liberty Warehouse wedding celebration in honor of their one-year anniversary. On a lovely overcast day in August, this wonderful couple celebrated their union in front of family and friends. With the historic shipping yards and Statue of Liberty as their backdrop, it was a beautiful and memorable day.
Having married in a private church ceremony a year prior, these two were so excited to celebrate with a wedding ceremony and reception at Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook. This wedding venue is absolutely exquisite, featuring the waterfront at this tip of Brooklyn. As New York wedding photographers, it’s a dream to shoot at a Brooklyn wedding venue like this.
Liberty Warehouse features views of the Manhattan skyline, warehouses, and Lady Liberty herself. On top of that, the spacious outdoor space is met with large event rooms to host a large number of guests. When thinking about your Brooklyn wedding day, you’ll want to take the size of your venue into consideration when thinking about guest count.
As Brooklyn wedding photographers, we love capturing memories at Liberty Warehouse weddings. The views of New York are unparalleled and the space itself is so gorgeous. Aleen got ready in the bridal suite upstairs, providing a large space with natural light. Capturing getting ready photos here was so much fun because we had so much room to play around.
James got ready at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge, which is where they had a room block for friends and family. This hotel in Downtown Brooklyn is a great option if you’re looking for spacious rooms in a trendy neighborhood. Plus, it’s not a terribly far hike from Red Hook at certain times of day. Plus, if you’re both getting ready in the downtown area, there’s close access to DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park for wedding photography ahead of time.
After these two were ready, they did a first look on the skyline in Red Hook. When it comes to NYC wedding photography, one of the most popular things to have is the skyline as a backdrop. Liberty Warehouse weddings give you the capability to have a photo shoot with Lower Manhattan as the backdrop, and also have the Statue of Liberty in some photos.
This New York harbor is the perfect spot to get married in Brooklyn. We love the breeziness of the waterfront in Red Hook, and it feels more secluded than other NYC wedding venues. When you’re out at this event space, it almost feels like you’re outside of the city – without ever leaving. Wedding photos out here turn out phenomenal because of the intimate environment and beautiful backdrops of the city.
We love to capture moments like the ones at James and Aleen’s wedding. Since they were last married, they had a beautiful baby boy and wanted to include their child in wedding photography. There are several fun ways to include babies in weddings, including as ring bearers or just as part of your photos.
After their portrait session, we took family photos and wedding party pictures on the skyline. It was great to have versatility in the backdrops. For some photos, they felt more natural with just the water as the background. In others, we had the NYC skyline in Red Hook wedding photos to give it the Brooklyn feeling.
Aleen and James did a first look so they wouldn’t have to do their photos during cocktail hour. It was important to spend time with their loved ones at this Liberty Warehouse wedding. The cocktail hour had phenomenal appetizers passed around that spoke to the diverse tastes of the couple. The guests enjoyed the breezy evening on the water.
Their wedding reception was a total blast, with fairy lights hanging above the dance floor. One of our favorite parts about this New York City wedding venue is the rustic feeling of it inside. There is lots of wood and romantic vibes within the venue. They had fairy lights dangling above the crowd, giving it a romantic ambiance.
They kept their speeches and dances pretty intimate, making this wedding at Liberty Warehouse very personal. We love when couples keep things intimate, even with a large guest count. Much of the evening was spent talking to people they love, and enjoying each others company.
This Red Hook wedding was romance at its finest. James and Aleen had smiles glued to their face throughout the entire day. The venue itself is something to write home about, too. If you’re thinking about a Liberty Warehouse wedding, we’ve got the specs for you to think about.
With the ability to accommodate up to 400 guests for a sit-down dinner, you can throw a large bash at this event space in Brooklyn. When planning your wedding at Liberty Warehouse, you may also want to consider a cocktail reception, which can fit up to 1200 people. The Brooklyn wedding venue itself is up to 12,000 square feet, plus valet parking. This spot is perfect for a truly authentic big day in NYC.
