We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
On a windy autumn day, we headed up to take some Riverside Park engagement photos with Sheila and Rob. The park is really pretty at this time of year. In addition to the beautiful Autumn colours on display, there was a variety of interesting architecture and urban design features that we got to play with in their photos.

Working in an environment like New York City is a great challenge and can create some really interesting engagement photos. We try to make the most of our surroundings by incorporating existing design elements into our imagery. When we were strolling along Riverside Park with these two, we couldn’t help but notice the standout rock formations. Sheila and Rob climbed up the rocks for some wonderful engagement pictures.
We were so in love with the autumn foliage on this chilly day. Sheila & Rob have a wonderful love story that had us laughing all of the way through it. It is always amazing to see the excitement and emotions of a couple during their engagement photo shoot in New York. It always turns from nervous to excited as the shoot progresses.

The versatility of this Manhattan park is awesome. From the iconic stone steps, to the tree canopies, to the waterfront gives you lots of options. As New York & Hudson Valley wedding photographers, it’s important to have our couples feel comfortable in a variety of settings. So, we were happy to discover the perfect spots for Sheila and Rob’s engagement pictures.
The chemistry between these two was palpable. You can see it in their eyes; it is always very loving. We were lucky to capture this great moment during our session at Riverside Park. It was also awesome that these two dressed all warm and cozy, giving them more movement in the outfits.
Our goal for this engagement shoot is always to capture the connection of our two souls. So, we continued with their journey along Riverside Park, spending some time on the waterfront where the trees were especially beautiful. There are great photo opportunities everywhere if you know what you’re looking for.

Before doing this session, we’d actually done their elopement a few months earlier. They kind of did things in backwards order. These two had their official ceremony, then engagement shoot, then a vow renewal wedding at Radegast Hall. Sheila and Rob had a very nice time during this session.
They move naturally engaging themselves into their setting giving us great moments that show how much they care for each other. Photographing these interactions is what drives us as photographers to keep creating unique imagery. This location in New York is versatile so it doesn’t restrict us in regards to the types of images we create with couples like Sheila and Rob here.
Either way works for us! We’ll be in touch in no time at all to book in a chat with you and, yes, we’re sure Cordy and Phoebe will pop up and say hi.
