Chary and Michael had their DUMBO elopement in the fall. The weather was absolutely perfect and we even got some fall foliage in the mix. Brooklyn Bridge Park doesn’t have a ton of nature to show off the autumn colors. However, it does give off gorgeous fall vibes for couples looking to have a Brooklyn Bridge Park wedding in the fall.
Intimate Elopement on the Brooklyn Bridge Park Waterfront
Their day started off with Chary and Michael getting ready in separate locations. They skipped out on a first look given that it was just the two of them attending the elopement. Instead, the first time they saw each other was right before they were about to get married. Their ceremony site was the dock in front of Jane’s Carousel.
Fall Wedding Photography in New York City
Autumn weddings in New York are one of our favorite things to shoot. Capturing gorgeous fall colors is a Brooklyn wedding photographer’s dream. Plus, we never mind a little cooler weather. It makes for less sweat in photos, and hair doesn’t really frizz the same way in the cool. Overall, we love fall weddings as New York wedding photographers.
DUMBO Elopement on the Manhattan Skyline
Officiated by Lauren Hill of Simply Weddings New York, Chary and Michael’s ceremony was deeply personal. Reciting emotional vows on the downtown Manhattan skyline, there were laughs and tears. They sealed the deal with a kiss and it was official. These two were married in their dream DUMBO elopement!
Iconic New York Wedding Photos in DUMBO
After they made it official, it was time to celebrate! Chary and Michael ran around Brooklyn Bridge Park with us throughout the morning. We chose to go early enough in the day that no one else would be around. It made for some flawless wedding photos in New York. The foliage in the city makes for a rustic wedding vibe, even when the neighborhood is more industrial.
Where to Take Elopement Pictures in Brooklyn Bridge Park
We started off taking photos by Jane’s Carousel, a historic landmark on the water. For a little extra excitement, we brought out the bubble guns to take some photos with bubbles. This is a great, low-impact alternative to confetti for a wedding prop. It’s also more eco-friendly than dousing the ground in confetti sprinkles.
Intimate Fall Wedding by the Brooklyn Bridge
To go with the gorgeous foliage, Michael and Chary were on a jewel tone color palette. Chary’s flowers were just incredible, matching the lovely fall foliage in the park. Her dress was also complemented by a leather jacket. We love when couples wear what makes them happy and keeps them comfortable, especially in chilly weather. Michael wore a blue suit that went perfectly with the environment.

DUMBO Elopement Photos on an Autumn Wedding Day
As New York City wedding photographers, we spend a ton of time in this area for engagement photos, weddings, and proposals. However, autumn has to be our favorite wedding season when it comes to this area. Chary and Michael’s intimate wedding could not have happened on a more beautiful day.
