We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
We are so thrilled to share Chloe and Aaron’s Long Dock Park elopement story right here on the blog. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we truly cherish the chance to document love in its most intimate form. Their day began with portraits outside Beacon City Hall and unfolded beautifully from there. In short, it was one of those perfect elopement days that reminds us exactly why we do this work.

Chloe and Aaron met us outside Beacon City Hall looking calm, happy, and completely at ease. We began the session with a series of portraits right there on the courthouse steps and surrounding area. The building itself provides such a charming and classic setting for elopement portraits in Beacon. Moreover, as a Beacon-based photography team, we know exactly where the best light and angles are around this building.

After portraits, we headed inside for a short, sweet ceremony that felt completely personal and intimate. They exchanged rings and signed their marriage license, with just a small circle of loved ones looking on. Moments like this remind us why eloping is such a meaningful choice for so many couples. Truly, a Long Dock Park elopement day like theirs proves that simplicity makes for the most beautiful weddings.

If you are thinking about eloping at Beacon City Hall, here are a few key things to know. The courthouse only performs weddings on Tuesdays at noon, so plan your schedule carefully around that time. This limited schedule actually keeps the experience focused and intimate, which we think is a wonderful thing. Therefore, we always encourage couples who are eloping in Beacon to book their date and photographers well ahead.

Because we live in Beacon, a Long Dock Park elopement is incredibly easy and convenient for us to photograph. We are able to offer flexible packages designed specifically for couples who want intimate and meaningful coverage. Whether you envision just the ceremony or a full creative session, we can build the perfect package for you. Additionally, being a local Beacon-based photography team means we can be as flexible and responsive as you need.

After the ceremony, we stepped back outside with Chloe, Aaron, and their family for a few warm group shots. The courthouse steps and surrounding area provide a timeless and lovely backdrop for these sweet post-ceremony portraits. We always love how emotional and joyful these moments are right after a wedding ceremony. Consequently, having just a few loved ones present makes these family portraits feel even more special and heartfelt.

After the family portraits, we made our way down to Long Dock Park to begin the elopement session. This Long Dock Park elopement took place on a stunning late April weekday, and the conditions were truly ideal. The overcast sky provided soft, even light that is honestly a portrait photographer’s very best friend. Furthermore, the park was wonderfully quiet on a weekday afternoon, giving us all the space we could want.

Long Dock Park is one of our favorite elopement photography spots in the entire Hudson Valley region. The park offers breathtaking mountain views alongside a gorgeous beach and a peaceful riverfront for couples to enjoy. We love moving through the different areas of the park to give couples a real variety of stunning images. In fact, the sheer diversity of scenery here is something that very few other locations can match.

As a Beacon-based photography team, we photograph Long Dock Park regularly and never grow tired of what it offers. This location is ideal for a Long Dock Park elopement because it provides calm, varied, and truly stunning scenery. In addition, its closeness to downtown Beacon makes it a natural extension of a Beacon City Hall wedding day. So if you are eloping in Beacon, we always recommend including this beautiful park in your session.

Photographing Chloe and Aaron throughout the park was such a wonderful and genuinely rewarding experience for us. Their chemistry was completely natural, and they moved through the park with such ease and authentic joy. We photographed them among the tall grasses, along the riverfront, and against the stunning mountain backdrop. Without question, they are the kind of couple that makes our work as Hudson Valley wedding photographers so meaningful.

One thing we love most about a Long Dock Park elopement is the incredible sense of calm it brings. There are no crowds or distractions on a weekday afternoon, which allows couples to be truly and fully present. The sounds of the river, the open mountain views, and the fresh spring air all enhance the experience. Likewise, the peaceful surroundings help couples feel relaxed, which always translates beautifully into genuine and authentic images.

Late April is one of our favorite seasons to photograph at Long Dock Park in Beacon. The soft spring light and the subtle new greenery of the landscape made for a truly breathtaking session together. In fact, each season at this park brings something fresh and beautiful for intimate couples to discover and enjoy. Therefore, if you are planning a spring elopement in Beacon, we think this park is the perfect place.

We want to share a few details from Chloe and Aaron’s beautiful Long Dock Park elopement day here. We always admire couples who bring their own creativity and personal vision to their elopement day. Above all, these personal choices are what make every intimate elopement feel truly and completely one of a kind.
