Sam and Braden’s Beacon engagement session took us through some of our favorite spots in the Hudson Valley. These two chose our adventure engagement session option, giving us time to explore multiple locations. We love this approach because it allows for variety, story, and creativity in every gallery.
We began their Beacon engagement session along the charming stretch of Main Street. The early fall light filtered perfectly through the trees, giving everything a warm glow. As Hudson Valley engagement photographers, we always appreciate how this town combines small-town charm with artistic energy.
From storefronts to murals, Beacon offers endless inspiration. We stopped at The Roundhouse to capture the beauty of Beacon Falls. The cascading water always adds motion and texture to our images. We also took photos in front of the Beacon Movie Theater for that classic, cinematic feel that defines this area.
Sam and Braden brought so much joy and personality to their Beacon engagement shoot. Their laughter echoed along Main Street, turning every candid moment into something genuine. As Beacon wedding photographers, we believe engagement sessions should feel relaxed, natural, and filled with movement.
We made sure to feature views of Mount Beacon in their photos. The mountain’s presence adds depth and grounding to any composition. The vibrant fall colors on the mountainside made for an incredible contrast against their soft tones and cozy outfits.
Sam and Braden’s connection was beautiful to witness. Their Beacon engagement session was also a celebration of love and inclusivity. As LGBTQ engagement photographers, we are always honored to document couples who share their stories authentically. Their comfort with each other made every image glow with sincerity.
After finishing in Beacon, we headed to Little Stony Point Park. This spot in Cold Spring offers some of the best Hudson River views in the area. The park features everything from forest trails to sandy beaches, making it a dream for any Hudson Valley engagement photography session.

We walked with Sam and Braden to the top of the overlook, a short climb that rewards you with panoramic views. The Hudson Highlands and river below looked stunning in the afternoon light. The fall colors of the trees glowed softly, framing the couple in nature’s palette.

To add to their Cold Spring portion of the shoot, Sam and Braden set up a picnic blanket up on the overlook. They shared a quiet moment, talking and laughing together. These images felt intimate and relaxed, the perfect addition to their Beacon engagement session adventure.

We love combining multiple locations during a session because it gives couples a complete story. Starting in town and ending in nature provides both variety and emotion. Each setting brings out different sides of a couple’s connection. This is what makes Hudson Valley engagement photography so dynamic.

Our photography style focuses on natural light and honest emotion. We guide gently, offering prompts that create movement and interaction. As Beacon wedding photographers, we prefer moments that feel spontaneous rather than posed. The laughter between Sam and Braden made that easy.

This Beacon engagement session showcased how diverse the region can be. Within a short drive, you can go from downtown streets to the top of a mountain. It’s one of the reasons we love being Catskills elopement photographers as well. There’s always a new view waiting to be discovered.

Every couple brings something unique to their engagement session. We always tell our clients to pick locations that reflect who they are. For Sam and Braden, exploring both Beacon and Cold Spring fit perfectly with their adventurous personalities.

Capturing LGBTQ engagement sessions in the Hudson Valley is a privilege we don’t take lightly. Love stories like Sam and Braden’s remind us of the power of visibility and joy. Their energy and authenticity inspired every frame of their gallery.

When paired with a destination like Little Stony Point Park, it becomes the perfect combination of town and nature.

As the sun dipped behind the Hudson Highlands, the light softened beautifully over the river. The day felt peaceful and full of warmth. The fall colors, the laughter, and the love made this Beacon engagement session unforgettable.
