We're Beacon-based Hudson Valley & Catskills wedding + elopement photographers who love to capture natural, authentic moments for all couples in love.
Alana and Andy’s Central Park engagement photography session took place on a beautiful autumn morning. The crisp and clean foliage made for a stunning backdrop to these images. We always recommend couples looking for a fall shoot in this area start at sunrise, like these two. It allows for the park to be as empty as possible; especially at the most popular time of year.

These two started the session by the lovely, reflective pond. It showed off the autumn leaves wonderfully and created a romantic atmosphere. We love to do fall engagement photos in Manhattan because it truly feels cinematic. For timeless, authentic pictures in the city, this is the best time of year.
We took their photos at Gapstow Bridge which is one of the city’s most iconic structures. The ivy on the bridge was a warm red and felt so romantic for their moody and dramatic engagement pictures. This Central Park engagement photography session is a perfect example of what you can get in late October and early November in terms of foliage.
The colors change at different times every year, but we do notice they are changing later than before. The best time to book a fall foliage engagement session in NYC is late October to early November. As Hudson Valley wedding photographers, we love to be in the city at this time of year. It’s absolutely magical to be out and about amongst all of the changing leaves.

The Mall is one of the best spots for a session when taking your Central Park engagement photography. We love this tree-lined walk because it really shows off the beauty of the season. The trees turn into a vibrant walk of yellow leaves, and the ground is often littered with foliage. It’s the most beautiful spot to take your photos in the fall.
For moody and edgy engagement pictures in Central Park, we recommend stopping at Bethesda Terrace. You’ll want to get some great shots with the fountain and the arcade in the backdrop. This iconic spot is home to many movie scenes and love stories. We love to take non-traditional engagement pictures in NYC here.
Bow Bridge is another perfect spot to get early morning engagement pictures. For your pre-wedding session, you’ll want to carve out some time in the morning for this spot. We can’t get enough of its iconic structure and autumn leaves. The colors in this area are just too perfect to pass up.

As a wedding photo team in the Hudson Valley and New York, we would love to capture your Central Park engagement photography session. It’s definitely our favorite time of year to come into Manhattan. The stunning foliage and moody atmosphere create some of the greatest possible opportunities for photos. Reach out to book your session in the park today.
Either way works for us! We’ll be in touch in no time at all to book in a chat with you and, yes, we’re sure Cordy and Phoebe will pop up and say hi.
