Nestled in the heart of Beacon, this spot offers a ton of versatility for your engagement pictures. Just minutes away from Main Street, it’s also a great primary location before finishing your shoot in the downtown area. The park features a natural panoramic backdrop that feels like a fairytale at sunrise. With the Hudson River stretching before you and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in the distance, this location provides a lovely canvas.

Beacon, NY Engagement Photography at Long Dock Park

The riverside ambiance for your Lock Dock Park engagement photos is amplified at sunrise before it gets busy. This bustling area is calm, just like the sunrise on the water. We can’t recommend this spot enough as Beacon wedding photographers. The warm and gentle light at daybreak casts such a soft and romantic vibe.

Where to Take Great Engagement Pictures in the Hudson Valley

Sean and Isaiah took photos along the dock and on the rocks. With Mount Beacon’s stunning view as the backdrop, the colors were a range of blues, golds, and peaches. Gentle waves upon the water added texture to this calm and romantic location. For Hudson Valley engagement photos, this is the perfect spot to capture the essence of the area.Beacon Engagement Photographers Capture Sunrise Shots

We then took the couple to the tall grasses along the walking trail. The sun rose through the dewy grasses and created a misty atmosphere. These photos feel like a perfect summer morning with your loved one. As wedding photographers in Beacon, we are so obsessed with this park in the morning.

Isaiah and Sean then took us to Main Street to meet their dogs. Capturing photos outside the Beacon Movie Theatre, Wonderbar, and Blackbird Attic, the couple and their pups had a great time. We always love when couples bring their dogs to their photo shoots. It’s especially sweet when we can do these photos at the end of the session, and the couple can just relax after.

Engagement Sessions Included with Every Wedding Photography Package

For Beacon engagement photo locations, we have to recommend this awesome park. Long Dock Park is seriously such a gorgeous location, but we especially recommend sunrise time. It’s quite busy in the afternoon and at sunset, so you will have more freedom and privacy if you shoot in the morning.

Romantic Hudson Valley Engagement Photo Shoots

Every wedding photography package in the Hudson Valley comes with a complimentary engagement session. We believe that these pre-wedding photo sessions are an important opportunity for couples to celebrate their love and to create some beautiful memories together.
