DUMBO is one of the most popular photography spots in the city, so it’s important that we went out early for pictures. As New York wedding photographers, this is one of our favorite spots to capture stunning couples like these two.

Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagement Photos

Leilany and Steph are both originally from New York, making it easy for them to show us their home. Plus, they picked a beautiful time of year to have their engagement session. We had the privilege of enjoying a stroll around Brooklyn Bridge Park’s East River waterfront with these two lovely human beings. It was such a fun morning because there weren’t too many people out and about yet, before heading to Brooklyn Heights.

DUMBO engagement photos are so gorgeous because there are a ton of versatile locations. We started on the Brooklyn Bridge to get those photos done as quickly as possible. This is always our NYC engagement session starting point because it’s the busiest location. There is foot traffic from tourists and commuters, plus bikes to worry about.

Romantic Brooklyn Engagement Photography for All Couples

After the Brooklyn Bridge, we walked down to Washington Street for the iconic Instagram picture. The Manhattan Bridge view here is super popular for Brooklyn Bridge Park engagement photos.  But, we couldn’t resist a second stop at the park itself. This is where we had the chance to capture some couples portraits of Steph and Leilany in their element.

We took some photos by the Max Family Garden as well, which was important to the couple. They loved the natural elements for their LGBT engagement photos in NYC. The Best Spot in New York City for Wedding Photography and Engagements

We love that Leilany and Steph like to smile during pictures – especially when we’re playing off each other’s energy. They are one of these really lovable couples who do everything together. Their relationship is clear in their eyes when they look at each other’s photos during their engagement session with us. It makes us happy that they chose to spend some time capturing their love during this transitional period before marriage.

Once we made our way over to Brooklyn Heights for some final Brooklyn Bridge Park engagement photos, it was clear why they wanted this street. There were classic brownstones that lined the streets in a beautiful way.  We love that most of these photos were shot from the Promenade. It was a great way to capture all the best brownstones, with these two walking around the streets – so Brooklyn!

They also brought a pizza with lyrics from a favorite song written in the box. This personal element made their Brooklyn Heights engagement photos even more fun. We love when couples add something special to their engagement pictures in NYC. Besides the classic locations, having this additional element made for a great prop.
