A Timeless NYC City Hall Elopement
Sanaz and LJ decided to elope at New York City Hall. They showed up in style, ready for a beautiful day celebrating their love in the Big Apple. We met them in the morning at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau, and they had a close friend show up to be their witness. This NYC City Hall Elopement photography was timeless and full of love.
Classic, Stunning Elopement Photos in New York City
These two chose Brooklyn Wedding Photo as their NYC City Hall wedding photographers. As experienced New York elopement photographers, we’re always up for a wedding at City Hall! Located at 141 Worth Street in Manhattan, getting married at City Hall is an iconic way to get married in the city.
A Gorgeous Outfit for a City Hall Wedding
These two showed up in style for their New York courthouse wedding. Appearing in a classic and elegant look, Sanaz showed up with a beautiful asymmetrical elopement dress. These two had beautiful flowers made specially for them by their loved ones.
Eloping at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau
The wait time at the city clerk’s office wasn’t too bad, although we chose a very busy day for this elopement. It turned out that 2/21/2020 was a popular date for couples to exchange vows in the big city. These two obtained their marriage license at least 24 hours before, an important part of having an NYC elopement.
A Short and Sweet Ceremony
If you’re having a New York City courthouse elopement, you can expect a fairly quick process. The wait time is the biggest factor when it comes to getting into the room itself. Once you’re in there, the ceremony itself is less than five minutes. Your officiant will guide you through the streamlined process of getting married.
Sanaz & LJ Say ‘I Do’
After a short while, we entered the room for these two to exchange their vows. While we waited in the courthouse, we took some fun photos to commemorate the occasion. It’s important to us that we capture the entire story of your elopement – not just the moment you say ‘I Do!’
Elopement Photography in Dumbo, Brooklyn
After their intimate wedding ceremony, we headed over to Dumbo for some beautiful photos to celebrate their big day. First, they practiced an Iranian wedding tradition in which the couple respectively dips their finger into honey and feeds it to their partner. The sweet of the honey represents a sweet life together.
Where to Take Elopement Photos in Brooklyn
Dumbo is full of beautiful options for elopement photography. Not only is there the stunning waterfront in Brooklyn Bridge Park, there is so much more. In cooler weather, warm up inside Time Out Market and take beautiful photos with the string lights. Head up to the rooftop for one of the most beautiful views of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Then, of course, there’s Jane’s Carousel for an amazing elopement photoshoot. This iconic spot is beautiful for both elopement ceremonies and gorgeous photo sessions. Plus, don’t forget Washington Street with its jaw-dropping view of the Manhattan Bridge.
Planning Elopement Photography in New York City
We then headed over to Brooklyn Bridge Park for some lovely photos. Featuring the Manhattan skyline in the background, Dumbo is one of the perfect spots for elopement photos. When you get married in NYC, having an iconic view is kind of an essential moment. Capturing this beautiful elopement was the sweetest intimate wedding day experience.
