Dennis and Sylbia agreed on their next step on a cold winter day in Manhattan. Choosing one of the most romantic places to pop the question, Dennis chose to have his Central Park proposal at the toy boat pond. Otherwise known as the Conservatory Water, this surprise proposal was made perfect by a blanket of snow over the city.

Central Park Proposal by the Conservatory Water
Dennis told Sylbia he was heading out for a meeting, but instead was going to the Conservatory Water. He’d had one of her friends agree to make lunch plans with Sylbia and lead her right to the spot. The timing worked out perfectly, and Dennis took a knee in front of the water as Sylbia approached. Having Dennis arrive ahead of time gave us the opportunity to coach him on what the best ideas were for his proposal.

Toy Boat Pond Proposal in Central Park
Once he popped the question, these two celebrated and were overjoyed. We revealed ourselves and went to take some proposal photos in Central Park. We walked from the toy boat pond to Bethesda Terrace where a man in a Santa costume was serenading. Dennis and Sylbia started to dance, making for some cute moments in their photo gallery.
New York Engagement Photos at Bethesda Terrace
After taking engagement photos at Bethesda Terrace, we headed over to Bow Bridge for some more romantic photos. The sun was setting quite early on this winter day, making for very romantic warm light. After that location, we took one more stop at Wagner Cove which looked amazing. The ice on the water was so romantic for these Central Park engagement photos.

Snowy Proposal Photos in Central Park
Most winter proposals in NYC don’t have snow for people who pop the question. Thankfully, the city had just had a snowstorm the day or two before. Everything turned out perfectly for Dennis and Sylbia with this gorgeous Manhattan landscape. Although it was cold, it was so worth it for some beautiful photos.
