How to Prepare for a 2 Hour Elopement Photography Package

The two hours start ticking right away. That means it’s best to be fully dressed or nearly ready before we arrive. If you’re still doing makeup or hair when we get there, it can eat into your coverage. Being ready means we get straight to capturing memories.

Bring the Little Things That Matter to Your Story

Bouquets, rings, vow books, champagne, and personal touches all add storytelling value. These details help create intentional and beautiful images. We don’t need elaborate setups, just a few meaningful things go a long way. That’s the magic of intimate wedding photography.

Choose a Single Location to Take Photos and Get Married

The more we move around, the more time we lose. We suggest choosing one primary location for portraits. If you want to squeeze in a second, make sure it’s very close by. This ensures that your Hudson Valley elopement feels relaxed and natural.

Our Favorite Hudson Valley Elopement Locations

Long Dock Park in Beacon has riverside paths and open fields. Dockside Park in Cold Spring gives you views of the Hudson and mountain backdrops. Both are steps from parking and have a peaceful, intimate vibe. We help couples find the best spots based on season and light.

Maximize Portraits in Your Shorter Timeline

We guide lightly to help you feel confident and comfortable. Our goal is to capture your relationship as it really is, no forced poses. Even in a short window, we make space for laughter and connection. This is what makes our style feel relaxed and real.

Light and Movement Matter More Than Time

We chase great light and natural movement, not stiff setups. Even if we’re only together for two hours, we can create variety in your gallery. As long as you’re present and ready, we’ll make the most of every second. Trust is everything when you’re eloping. After portraits, many of our couples head out for a cozy dinner or celebration. You can pop into a local restaurant, go for a sunset walk, or just head home with takeout. Some favorites near Beacon include Wonderbar, the Roundhouse, and Kitchen & Coffee.
