Winter is a great time to do your engagement session in Madison Square Park because it’s less busy than any other time. However, if you’re looking for a more secluded spot in the park, we recommend getting there early in the morning. Spring and summer are also beautiful times to visit, although you’ll have to deal with more people. There’s no wrong answer when it comes to your NYC engagement and wedding photography.

Where to Do Your Engagement Photography in the Flatiron District

The Flatiron District is one of our favorite places to shoot in all of NYC. It’s perfect for couples who want that classic Manhattan skyline shot, as well as a more iconic feel to their engagement photos. We’ve shot around the Flatiron Building, in front of the Madison Square Park Shake Shack, and use the street on 5th avenue. There are so many beautiful and iconic locations in this neighborhood to use.

What to Wear for Winter Engagement Photos in New York

If you plan to do winter Madison Square Pakr engagement photos, we recommend dressing warmly. It can still be chilly in January and February, so make sure to bring a coat and some gloves. However, if you’re lucky enough to have a sunny day, you can also shed some layers. Allie and Brendan looked great in their winter gear, but were brave enough to take off their coats in between photos.
