When Jack reached out to us with his plan to take proposal photos in DUMBO with Rebecca, we couldn’t help but be excited about this one. He had planned it all out perfectly so that she wouldn’t suspect a thing. Rebecca’s friends brought her out for a drink at the One Hotel Brooklyn Bridge rooftop bar to lead up to the big moment.

This proposal with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background couldn’t have gone smoother. Jack surprised Rebecca by showing up to the One Hotel and asking Rebecca to come join him. She wasn’t expecting him at all and was totally taken by surprise. Her friends had also had her dress up for the occasion and ended up totally fooling her as to why.

Jack walked Rebecca down to the Ferry Dock in Brooklyn Bridge Park for the proposal. We held down the spot that he was going to pop the question. It’s a space in New York that is very versatile, from cobblestone streets to Manhattan skyline views. We walked over to Jane’s Carousel for some engagement photos with the twinkly lights in the background. Additionally, we went to the Max Family Garden and stopped by the skyline on the dock before their surprise dinner at the River Café.

The best part of this proposal photography session? The night didn’t end at dinner. Jack surprised Rebecca with an afterparty at the Essex in Manhattan with loved ones and close friends. This evening felt like surprise after surprise, capturing fantastic reactions throughout the entire evening.
