Gorgeous, Warm Engagement Pictures at Little Stony Point

We meet them in Cold Spring on a cloudy summer afternoon, unsure if we’d get rained out. Thankfully, the skies held just long enough for a joyful, cozy session by the Hudson River. We start at the overlook with sweeping river views. There’s a bit of mist in the air, which adds a dreamlike feel to the scene.

Exploring the Trails in Hudson Highlands State Park

From the overlook, we wander the winding trails that cut through the park. Everything is lush and green, with tall grass brushing our legs as we move. Alexa and Kevin are up for anything. They laugh through every moment, even when we have them walk through slightly muddy paths.

After a bit of forest exploring, we head down toward the water. The beach is a soft stretch of sand that hugs the riverbank. The late light glows through the clouds and reflects off the water. We play a quick game of Red Light, Green Light to shake off nerves. It’s one of our favorite tricks to get couples laughing and moving naturally.

By this point, Alexa and Kevin are completely in sync. We step back and let them do their thing. They dance in the sand and hold each other close, totally lost in the moment. This is what we love most about capturing engagement pictures at Little Stony Point.
