Beautiful Central Park Elopement Photography
We were so honored to capture the Central Park element of these two remarkable people. Juleesia and Adnan said their vows in the Conservatory Garden in New York City. One of the most stylish places to get married; this spot is perfect for intimate elopements. We love to take photos in Central Park North – it’s a more private location when getting married in Manhattan.
Eloping in Central Park
If you are getting married in New York, eloping in Central Park is a fantastic idea. Juleesia and Adnan invited a small handful of close friends and family to gather and watch the ceremony. Adnan also live-streamed the wedding ceremony to his family, who could not make it.
The only vendors these two had for the wedding were the officiant and their NYC elopement photographers. Juleesia also had a floral crown and bouquet, and everything else was DIY. Adnan wore a stunning green suit, while Juleesia wore the dress she’d been holding onto for months!
Intimate Elopement Photography in Central Park
Before the ceremony, Juleesia and Adnan did a first look at the Conservatory Garden. There are so many ceremony locations in this particular part of Central Park. We chose a small corner tucked away for this first look experience. For such an intimate wedding, having a first look can create an even more special moment for the two of you.
Since there is no “aisle” to walk down for most elopements, the first look is a beautiful memory. There are fewer “huge moments” during an elopement versus a typical wedding day, so a first look is a perfect alternative. You can have a lot of fun with first looks, too – the reactions are priceless.
The Best Place to Elope in New York City
Central Park is one of the best places to elope in New York City. Not only is there the Conservatory Garden, like Juleesia and Adnan used, but plenty of other sites. Wagner Cove is one of the more popular spots in the park to tie the knot.
There are other places like Bethesda Terrace and Gapstow Bridge that also make beautiful locations. For a more intimate Central Park elopement, look into the Conservatory Garden. It’s farther north than many people have ventured into, making it all the more appealing.
Other places to elope in NYC include the Top of the Rock, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and more. Since City Hall weddings are mostly out of the picture in 2020, we’re ready to help you think of alternatives. Just make sure to get your marriage license online from the marriage bureau before your New York City elopement. The city clerk’s office posts on Twitter regularly about their Project Cupid appointments.
Eloping in NYC During COVID-19
Juleesia and Adnan initially had a very different idea in mind for their wedding day. With the cancellation of most wedding ceremonies due to the coronavirus, these two found a way to make it work. Instead of the larger NYC wedding they had first anticipated, we found a way to turn their wedding package into an elopement photography experience.
During COVID-19, it’s essential to communicate with your vendors as your plans change – and that’s precisely what these two did. We helped them plan out their micro-wedding ceremony replacing their initial ideas. Though they had initially thought to reschedule the date, they decided that they would rather just elope.
Many couples who are postponing their weddings have decided to elope now and party later. Some are having their larger wedding celebrations in 2021, while others are canceling altogether. If you choose to cancel your wedding due to COVID-19, you can always celebrate down the line with a vow renewal ceremony.
