Early Morning Soho Engagement Photography Session

We had the couple arrive for their Soho engagement photography session at sunrise. This is because Soho is a very busy neighborhood at most times of day. However, this early, no one is around to disrupt the photos. You’ll have completely empty streets to work with. As New York wedding photographers, we love having intimate sessions with couples to create a unique experience.

We started the session by walking around and taking photos of Casey and Nicolette in the streets before traffic came through. Running back and forth across the street was a great warmup for the couple to get used to their photos. It also resulted in some adorable laughing photos. After the streets started getting busy, we took some subway stair photos and walked around the streets. It’s great to do an engagement photo shoot in Soho because there are so many different types of backdrops to work with.

Spring Lounge Morning Drink Engagement Pictures

Casey and Nicolette showed us a great spot to grab an early morning drink – like, super early! When Spring Lounge opened at 8:00AM, the couple headed in to grab a beer for their photos. We loved this unique touch to their session. It made it feel extra personal to the couple. The light streaming in through the window made for some beautiful photos.

The best time to do a Soho engagement photography session is in the spring or fall. The temperatures are mild and there is a good chance of sunny weather. You’ll also want to avoid taking your photos during the summer because it will be too hot. The winter can be fun for festive holiday photos, but make sure to dress warm.
