When we met Jillian and Eric for their Coney Island engagement photos, we didn’t expect them to bring so much energy at sunrise. After all, it was five in the morning on the beach. We chose to shoot at sunrise rather than sunset to avoid the crowds. For Coney Island engagement photos, sunset is always a popular time. But sunrise gives even more beautiful light and has far fewer people around. Beach engagement photos are a wonderful choice for beach lovers. It’s also super unique to do engagement shoots like this in NYC because most people wouldn’t think of this for city photos.

Many of us are not accustomed to beach engagement photos. When beach engagement photos are scheduled for the day, you need to be comfortable with the soles of your shoes sinking into the sand. You should wear clothes that can get wet and you may also want to wear a bathing suit. It is important to make sure that you do not have anything valuable on for beach engagement photos. The light is also amazing during sunrises, which made us even more excited about these photos!
