We started their session off at Martha’s Country Bakery in Astoria. This was important to the couple because it was where they had their first date. These two got a little dessert to share at a table and took cute photos within the space. Seeing them enjoy each other’s company for their engagement photos in a café was super sweet.

Then we headed over for their Astoria Park engagement photos with fall foliage. One of the most underrated times to take engagement photos is in early November in NYC. This is because the peak of colorful foliage in the city, although it varies, can usually be found in mid to late October through early November.

Where to Do a New York Engagement Photoshoot

In Astoria Park, we captured the big epic archways that are within the park. We also walked around to find trees that had some color, which wasn’t too difficult in the fall. The contrast of the beautiful blue water with the orange of the leaves can be so pretty in the park. These two also dressed the part with cozy clothes for fall engagement pictures in New York.

Some of the most popular spots for engagement sessions in the city include Brooklyn Bridge Park, Central Park, and Soho. When we come out to Astoria Park, it’s always a real treat.

Photos Along the Waterfront in Queens, NY

Jaclyn and Mike walked us along the water where they got engaged. These were such personal Astoria Park engagement photos for them because they started where they had their first date, and ended where they got engaged. Mike had popped the question right by the water with the NYC skyline and bridges in the background.
