Regina and Maxwell ventured out on one of the coldest weekends of this winter season to do their Beacon engagement shoot. Since these two are planning a wedding in the Hudson Valley, but based in another state, this was the weekend they had traveled up. They braved cold temperatures to get some adorable pictures together in this cute location. As wedding photographers and videographers based in the area, we are always happy to show couples the best spots for their session.
Winter Beacon Engagement Shoot in the Downtown Area
We started off outside of the Yankee Clipper Diner. This classic spot, located across the street from Kitchen + Coffee, feels like something right out of a movie set. We love to get couples warmed up with this iconic, vintage diner as the backdrop. We then made our way over to Wonderbar and the Beacon Movie Theatre for even more of that classic beauty of this locale. Now, since their fingers and toes were becoming quite chilly, we went to Håkan Chocolatier next to warm up.
Indoor Coffee Shop Photos for Engagement Session
The kind folks at this chocolate and coffee shop allowed Regina and Maxwell to take some cute indoor snaps for their Beacon engagement shoot. This was a great spot for them to get toasty – and get some delicious drinks! We highly recommend this business to couples looking for wedding favors, as well. Their chocolates are out of this world. As Beacon-based wedding photographers, it’s one of our favorite spots for… just about everything tasty.
Cute Engagement Session Ideas in the Hudson Valley
As Hudson Valley engagement photographers, we also know how important it is to capture the beauty of the region. Our next stop was the Roundhouse to capture the stunning waterfall as the backdrop. We love this hotel, restaurant, and wedding venue for a number of reasons. One of those is because it’s atop a stunning natural backdrop. Plus, the brick buildings make for beautiful wedding photography or an engagement shoot in Beacon.
Versatile Beacon Engagement Photo Shoot with Both Nature and City
Our next stop for this Beacon engagement shoot is Little Stony Point park. Located near Breakneck Ridge, this trail has easy access to beautiful views. We love to bring couples here for their Hudson Valley photo sessions because you really do get the best of everything. These two braved some incredibly windy terrain for this additionally gorgeous spot. As far as an engagement photo session goes, Regina and Maxwell got a ton of versatility in their shots.
